The building was designed by Seymour Van Os and Samuel G. Wiener Sr., both of Jones, Olschner, Roessle & Wiener of Shreveport. The building was dedicated to the Warriors of the Great War on Veterans Day, which was then acknowledged as Armistice Day. In its early years, the hall played host to the military by serving as barracks for the troops and housing the early aircraft warning system, more commonly known as Radar. The auditorium is a versatile venue for sporting events, touring acts, live local concerts, graduations, family shows, parties, and debutante balls.
