3 Best Landmarks in Springfield, MA

A day well spent! I brought my daughter to the Dr Seuss museum during school vacation. I didn't know the ticket was good for all of the Springfield museums, that was the first of many great surprises. The science museum was incredible! We loved the animal exhibits and the craft stations set up in different locations throughout the building. The planetarium is small but puts on a really great show, it was my daughter's first experience and she loved it. The history museum was like taking a time back in time, My daughter really liked the grocery store and the friendly's ice cream exhibit, I enjoyed the Smith and Wesson and the local youth art exhibit The amazing world of Dr Seuss was breath taking and everything you'd hope it to be. We unfortunately ran out of time and didn't get to experience the art museums but plan to on our next trip. I wasn't really expecting much because of how small these places were but they manage to pack a lot of information and experiences in. We can't wait to go again.

This is the main museum among the five. The ticket counter and guest service desks are in this music. This museum is mainly about, evolution, dinosaurs, civilization, space, earth, and science. I loved the space section most. There was a robotic arm to play with to simulate the canadarm in ISS. There’s also simulate of the earth view window from ISS. Also loved the collection of human civilization, how humans spread all over the world starting from Africa. There’s also a big gift shop. Overall this museum is really great for both kids and adults.

The two art museums at Springfield Museums are world-class, the Museum of Springfield History is amazing and the Dr Seuss Museum is so much fun. The recent Festival of Flowers was outstanding. Love it all! Highly recommend.

Exceed my expectations. One of the most renowned manufacturer of light arms. Definitely a place for army/history fans, and also an honorable memorial for America military industry. This museum is packed with history, and the exhibits are very well arranged. I learned a lot about gun manufacturing and was personally amazed by the creativeness and productivity of this armory and its staff. They are the one who provided the arms and strength for the Americans to stand against all tides during the great wars. Free to visit. You can purchase their merchandise as a donation.

One of the coolest National Park Historic Sites in Massachusetts! Springfield Armory is absolutely worth visiting. The exhibits are awesome. There was also a ranger giving a presentation on arms that came from the Springfield Armory since the Revolutionary Wars. I got to hold a M1 Garand which was awesome! The history here is amazing.

Very cool gun collection and interesting museum. They have a 17 minute movie and you can see the rest of the museum in 30-60 minutes depending on your interest in guns.
