“Heritage House showcases a Queen Anne Victorian-style house. The house was originally built in 1891-92 for Mrs. Catherine Bettner. The museum started as a collaboration of associates of the Riverside Museum, a volunteer support organization for the Riverside Metropolitan Museum. Visitors can enjoy a 45-minute tour of the mansion and properties conducted by Victorian Dress educators. Heritage House is restored to reflect the design and lifestyle of wealthy turn-of-the-century Riverside. In addition to their Queen Anne design, it includes Moorish, Georgian, and Chinese elements. The museum provides wheelchair access, with an on-site team member or volunteer available to assist with the wheelchair lift located on the house side. A gift shop on-site offers a wide selection of books and merchandise that reflects the house's design. Parking is available on-site at the back of the House lot, and admission is free.”
