Boys and trains, what a classic duo! We went to check out the model train show and totally loved seeing all the different setups. And yeah, the museum itself is pretty awesome too – we've been a few times before. But honestly, it's the model train exhibit that really steals the show for us every time. It's just so cool to see all the tiny details and how everything's set up!
A gem. In the heart of the city with a surprisingly number of attractions. My kids love watching the train go through the old mini version of Tacoma. Also got pieces of the collapsed bridge. A theatre in the basement. Lots of cool rotating exhibits. And that really only scratches the surface. I recommend just buying a membership for the family. It's cheap and you'll want to go back for new exhibits.
We loved this museum - 5 floors of exhibits - they had model train exhibits at this time - all different scales. As well as some great Washington history exhibits. The whole area was very interactive, great for the whole family.
