TOP 3 TACO MESA REVIEWS
Very eclectic Mexican restaurant in a vintage, totally redecorated, old taco bell building. Wet chorizo breakfast burrito and Pacifico beer...it was noon...both hit the spot, as they say!! The guy at the window, possibly the owner, was pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Heated enclosed patio area. It was a brisk day. Salsa bar area. Don't let the exterior of the building deter you from trying the place...in reality, the decor is interesting and entertaining, in its own right. Good meal, friendly service, entertaining atmosphere.
OMG. Get thee to Taco Mesa and thank me later. This place is The Bomb for local, fresh Mexican food in the Costa Mesa and Newport Beach area. This is where the locals go if they want it fresh and fast and tasty good. Moderate prices, plenty of free parking, and specials every day. Love it!
Al pastor tacos were good. They’re as close to the pastor I had in Mexico. The service was excellent. The people in the back had a great attitude. The food was great. I was overall very happy with my experience. 8.7/10 Parking: Park in rear.

TOP 3 MI CASA REVIEWS
We have been coming here since 1979! When my husband and I first got married, we lived a couple blocks away, and I worked close by. The food is delicious, the staff is amazing from management all the way down to busboy. The dining area and bar are always clean, and the restrooms are updated and handicap acceable. We always start with MiCasa classic chips and cheese with guacamole! I recommend anything, everything on the menu, portion sizes are huge, and I always take home half for lunch the next day. My husband loves a good chili relleno. He always gets a combo plate with one. I love taco salads or burritos. Today I had the drunken burrito, the sauce is unique and very delicious. Kid-friendliness: Everyone enjoys the Pac-Man game!! Adults, teens, and children. There is no need for change. The game is free.
My favorite menu items are the Chile Rellenos, Enchiladas, and the SHREDDED BEEF TACOS!!! Without a doubt, these are the most delicious, juicy, and satisfying tacos of my life.
I am so excited this location finally has fajitas AND they are some of the best fajitas I've had. Their new queso dip appetizer is also excellent.

TOP 3 AVILA'S EL RANCHITO REVIEWS
Exceptional service and delicious authentic food!!! Would highly recommend. Rocky, our waiter, was friendly and shared the history of Mrs. Avila and how the business came about. Such a remarkable journey for the family. Rocky and the staff made us feel like family. My husband had Pepe’s Special and I had the menudo (menudo only served Saturday and Sunday). Both tasty dishes. The tortillas were hand made and passed to us through the window, hot and fresh. Must try!
Delicious Mexican food in large portions, friendly staff and cozy nice atmosphere. Our server Rocky was very welcoming and a good host for our first visit! The Fish tacos and sizzling shrimp Fajitas were some of the best we’ve tasted. Warmly recommended.
Had another great experience at Avila’s El Ranchito in Costa Mesa. Had their soup this time…perfect for cool weather. Salvador is always gracious when welcoming foodies! The food and service is always consistent!
