INNER CIRCLE MIDWIFERY REVIEWS
Really couldn’t ask for a better birth team. Asasiya is extremely skilled with so much experience underneath her belt. My family and I felt so safe with her as our midwife. Throughout the entire process she empowered us with knowledge and encouragement. When the time finally came for me to deliver I felt confident in my support system and myself because of her.
Our hearts are forever grateful that we found such a beautiful soul like Asasiya to assist us in bringing our blessing earthside. Because of past experiences in hospital settings I wanted to be sure that for our first home birth we chose the right midwife. Thank God for Asasiya! She made us feel safe, supported, heard and seen. Asasiya provided professional and compassionate care. She guided and empowered me throughout the entire process and offered resources and remedies for any questions or concerns that I may have had. Asasiya is also respectful and her calm and positive energy helped make me feel at ease. I love that she asked for consent before touching my belly and that is when I knew that I could trust Asasiya and her judgment. It was a pleasure having her as our midwife and she is a part of our home birth story that we will one day share with our daughter.
I had a wonderful experience working with Asasiya. This was my 3rd home birth, but my first with Asasiya. I chose her because she practiced with my first midwife years ago, who I trust, and has been running her own practice for 10+ years since then. Her level of experience and comfortable manner sealed the deal. In working together it was extremely clear that she has the utmost respect for families’ abilities to make informed decisions about their care plan. She is a very skilled listener. Her knowledge and guidance is expressed clearly, with no nonsense. She’s very efficient! Her presence exudes a sense of calm, which was a great source of comfort during the more stressful moments of my pregnancy. She fully grasped my need for autonomy and privacy and naturally allowed me the space to navigate and own this experience. Asasiya taught me natural induction methods to get labor going because my water had broken. While I was getting to work, she hopped on a call with local midwives (With my consent. We did not know when labor would begin so there was plenty of time.) As my labor was starting she was advocating for the voices of the women of color who were responsible for inspiring the beginning of the Philly Birth Fund. She was making sure they were given credit and not erased from the story. After speaking her piece, it was apparent that her induction methods were working, so she hopped off the call, helped me upstairs and told my husband how to catch the baby. Asasiya managed to snap a National Geographic level photo with her phone of our baby’s birth, all while keeping us safe and comfortable. She guides and protects and brings her wisdom and peace to the sacred birth space. She gets things DONE! Our baby was born just as Titi (2nd midwife) was arriving (It was a fast birth!) Titi exudes light and I hold dear the encouraging words she spoke to me. I would trust any 2nd midwife Asasiya works with, and if yours happens to be Titi, you will experience her radiance! My home births are my top 3 favorite experiences. If you decide home birth is right for you, give yourself the gift of Asasiya!

REFUGE MIDWIFERY REVIEWS
I am so grateful to have had Ray and Victoria alongside me as I navigated my most recent pregnancy. They are thoughtful, compassionate, evidence-based care providers who I would choose to work with again in a heartbeat. I wish more people got to experience what continuity of care feels like (in all aspects of medicine, truthfully, but especially in birth)—how much of a difference it makes to feel known and understood from the prenatal period all the way through postpartum. It matters! Notably, Refuge also provides way more postpartum visits than hospital-based care, and while their presence during labor was critical, postpartum is really when it helps to have in-home, expert midwifery support. I am so thankful for my experience with Ray and Victoria!
Working with Ray and Victoria was a wonderful experience. My wife was interested in doing a home birth. I hadn't previously given the idea much thought but after doing some research and meeting with Ray and Victoria, I was fully on board. I'm so happy we made the choice we did - they made me and (more importantly) my wife feel so comfortable and confident throughout the pregnancy and they were there every step of the way through a long labor. From the POV of the birth partner, they gave me the tools and confidence to truly be a supportive partner and I am so grateful that I was able to be as involved in the experience as I was. Thank you to Refuge Midwifery - I can't recommend them enough.
Ray and Victoria are absolutely incredible. They both offered me so much support throughout my pregnancy and through a challenging birth. They stayed with me for almost 40 hours guiding me through my labor and brought my son into the world with so much love. I am so grateful to them and definitely plan to work with them again for my second child. I love them both!

MAGPI MIDWIFERY REVIEWS
Sam was my Midwife in 2020 & 2023, she is the best most sweet hearted person. Sam made me and my family comfortable when it came to both home births.Sam has patience she is calm and understanding and she also respect any wishes that you have during your birth. throughout my whole pregnancies I was able to learn as well along the way about a home birth from a hospital birth. Sam also made me feel like i can do it no matter what the challenge was my last baby was 8 pounds 9 ounces i thought i couldn’t do it but Sam made me feel like i could do anything when it came to birth.she always say let your body do the talking and that’s what helped me. Sam, also referred me to some amazing people during my births i ended up having a whole team!!! I will always recommend Sam any time she is like family my kids love her !! SAM will always be apart of my families life and watch my children grow.
Samm was my midwife for my homebirth in June. If you are considering a homebirth, I cannot recommend Samm more. Through my entire pregnancy she was attentive, informative, and all around compassionate with her approach to care. I went into labor at around 41 +2 and after a long and hard 53 hour labor, I gave birth to my 9lb 10oz baby girl, Eva. When Eva was born she did not take a breath for 7 very long minutes. The entire time, Samm was calm and capable. I never worried that something was going wrong and knew that everything was going to be okay. Samm is a wonderful person and an amazing midwife. I am so grateful for her skills and kindness. I know that my labor and birth would have ended differently without her on my team.
I'm so happy I found Samm! From my first call with her I felt so at ease. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, skilled, and has a heart for building community. When I decided to have a home birth for my fourth child I definitely felt like not many people understood why. Then at one of Samm's prenatal potlucks I was suddenly surrounded by women planning home births who shared my views! The birth itself was extremely smooth and my favorite of my 4. Samm's assistants were top notch and made me feel so safe and supported. I've been recommending Samm to several of my friends and will definitely be booking Samm again if/when the next baby comes around.
