We love New Songs! Mr. Dustin is a wonderful guitar teacher. My daughter started during Covid so I wasn’t sure if it would stick once things went back to normal. Thankfully years later she’s still going strong! New Songs is always accommodating, friendly, communicative, and consistently offers performance opportunities. As a parent I appreciate that Mr. Dustin balances technique with fun. He challenges my daughter but also asks her input to make sure the pieces they work on retain her interest. Each lesson she learns something new and I’m so grateful to him and everyone at New Songs! If you’re looking for a fun, no stress, supportive, and posiitve atmosphere to learn music, New Songs is the place for you.

My daughter has been going to Newsong's School of Music when she was four. She is now seven and still loves the school and all her teachers. She's taking voice and musical theatre and is exceling in everything that she's doing. We couldn't be happier with how much she's grown and progressed in the arts! Thanks Newsong's.

I really enjoy seeing my daughter perform. Newsong gives the children an opportunity to not just learn an instrument or do vocal lessons but perform as well. I would recommend for anyone looking for a music school.

I feel obligated to post this review because Raquela has personally helped me so much with my voice. I only wish I could have started lessons with her earlier. I've sung on teams for years at our church, but when I finally heard myself on YouTube I knew I needed professional help. LOL. What makes Raquela the consummate voice instructor. She has a true depth of understanding of what needs to come together in order to sing well-- the musculature, breathing, psyche. She is also extremely articulate, so she can explain these intricacies to me. An excellent observer, she truly listens to me and watches me sing, providing constructive criticism. Just a glimpse of the level of her expertise-- she was asked to teach lessons in breathing to her fellow Broadway singers!! She cares deeply and is fully committed to the growth of her students, personally invested for sure. Any student who listens to her and works hard will get to the next level. What's more, she's even tech savvy, so she hasn't missed a beat during COVID and is still teaching fabulous lessons through Zoom.

Raquela engages younger kids with techniques such as how to play a kazoo as part of learning correct form. She inspires older kids and adults by balancing praise to stay motivated with correction to grow and improve. She keeps lessons, engaging, and fresh. She teaches the physiology behind solid vocal technique better than any teacher I’ve ever met. She can help to prepare you for auditions and understand stage presence since she performed on Broadway herself, but what I value the most is the true technique of a mixed voice and support to not thrash your vocal cords. My daughter began with Raquela a decade ago and is now a successful recording artist on Spotify. Raquela is worth every penny.
