Middle C Music

Several years ago our family relocated to DC. Our youngest had a collection of instruments and no formal lessons. What a delight to find this space in the heart of Tenleytown. The entire staff welcomed us warmly. Dedicated musicians and teachers cheerfully instruct students of every level. It is also a great place to shop for instruments and other equipment. I always felt my child was respected and safe. During the pandemic, lessons seamlessly transferred to live/video instruction with Nelson. The level of quality remained. The instruction my child had at Middle C contributed to her foundational music education in a very positive way. The professionals here lead with kindness and solid expertise. Super helpful and friendly staff! Got a cool white mic stand, shock mount clip, xlr cable and some sheet music bc as I was about to check out, I saw the ridiculous sheet music selection they have for sale. When I was checking out, I mentioned the sheet music was for a couple of private students. The sweet clerk let me know they have a discount on Tuesdays called Teacher Tuesdays. Heck yes. Great store full of life, fun and music. I really enjoyed walking in there. It felt good.

I LOVED it here! Stopped by for a new guitar and the staff was immediately willing to help and super friendly. The prices were great and I was really impressed with all the cool little things you could buy too! I didn’t get the names of the people who helped me but they were fantastic.
