I highly recommend lessons with Providence Guitar Academy. Phil is a rare teacher. Not only is he an exceptional musician, he is also an exceptional teacher. He is calm, compassionate, and skilled at his craft. It is clear that he enjoys teaching and the guitar, and this enjoyment is infectious. I have been in lessons with a variety of instruments and teachers for close to three decades. I can honestly say that Phil is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Providence Guitar Academy has great instructors with very reasonable rates. They're very friendly, patient, organized, and explains and demonstrates things in a way that is easy to understand. After taking lessons here, I understand the value of in person lessons rather than trying to teach myself through online videos etc. Highly recommended.
