Located between 40 acres of stunning woodlands, the Roger Williams Park Zoo allows visitants to see animals from all over the earth, some more than a million years old. Naturalistic surroundings are house to over 160 species of animals, including zebras, Komodo dragon, red pandas, African elephants, Masai giraffes, flamingoes, snow leopards, bears, anteaters, sloths, etc. Kids from 2 to 102 have the chance to feed giraffes, as well as an array of farmyard animals. You can visit their new explore and soar area, offering an exciting zip ride and a train excursion through the woodlands. Roger Williams Park Zoo is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums & American Humane certified. The zoo is supported and maintained by the Rhode Island Zoological Society, a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization owned by the City of Providence. Free admission is available for toddler one and under & RWPZoo members.

The RISD Museum collects, preserves, grants, and interprets works of art and design representing different cultures from ancient times. This innovative and internationally renowned museum showcases more than 80,000 works of art from Paul Revere's silver and caricatures of 18th century Europe to French Impressionists and recent alumni's avant-garde works. From ancient times to the latest in contemporary art, the museum's holdings of about 100,000 objects include paintings, arts, sculpture, costume, furniture, and other works of art/designs. The museum also offers a wide array of institutional and public programs, serving more than 100,000 visitants each year. Free admission is available for members, youth (18 & under), staff, faculty, active-duty U.S. military personnel, and their families & students of RISD or member institutions. Admission is free every Sunday, and each third Thursday evening of the month (5 to 9 pm).

Providence Children's Museum's mission is to inspire and celebrate learning through active play & exploration. Group rates are available on weekdays with a reservation for ten or more children. They offer hands-on exhibits and programs for the whole family to make a splash in Water Ways, investigate the awesome power of the air, climb to the top of a two-story maze, design, and create something new every day Discovery Studio. Free admission is available for kids under 12 months. There is free off-street parking in their lot.
