"India Point Park is a scenic 18-acre picnic destination that offers a perfect blend of recreation and natural beauty. The park is home to over 300 species of shrubs and bushes, spanning 10–15 varieties. Visitors can also enjoy various facilities, including a multi-use games area and football pitches. The park is well cared for and preserved for public enjoyment. It has large parking options available. Waterfront park with scenic views of Providence Harbor and Seekonk River.

2026 Update: India Point Park connects directly to the East Bay Bike Path and a pedestrian bridge over I-195. This park has a large open green space with rolling hills suitable for events and relaxation. It is popular for community events and concerts. The park has a fishing pier with benches and shaded relaxation areas."

The park provides a quiet hilltop setting, perfect for sightseeing and photography."

INDIA POINT PARK REVIEWS

Beautiful park, wonderful space, multi uses. There are quiet spots under trees with benches, relaxing spots where you can put a blanket down and have a little picnic and watch the boats and birds on the water. There are picnic tables and also a really nice playground for younger and older children (not so much for babies/toddlers). Great pathways for jogging and skating and kids biking. Perfect for leisurely strolls. Also, there is parking.

India Point Park is a small, really nice park on the water in Providence. It was recommended to us by someone in town and we were glad they told us about it. It's looks our at a shipping dock. There are short walking paths, green areas, docks you can walk out on. Picnic areas. On a nice weather evening it is a lovely place to be

Beautiful and peaceful park to go for a nice walk along the waterfront and there is also a really great playground and exercise court for the kids with a jungle gym.

WATERPLACE PARK REVIEWS

Given this is my 1st in Rhode Island this was one of my favorite parts of the downtown area. As you by from the street and look down the view is very nice. As you make your way down the view is even better. There's a restaurant and you can walk underneath the bridges. At the it must be beautiful, due to time I was unable to see it during the evening. Overall if your in the downtown area definitely check out thid park you won't regret it.

Love going to the water place park. Then go over to the pedestrian Bridge. Over see the city and canal have a coffee sandwich, ice cream, whatever. Love people watching. At night you can see the water fires.

Came for the firewater event. Beautiful night, with fun vendors and a night out in Providence. Add this to your itinerary if it's available!

PROSPECT TERRACE REVIEWS

A small but beautiful hillside park on the east side of Providence with a picturesque view of downtown framed by an imposing statue of Roger Williams. A must-see if you’re visiting Providence, and is close to other destinations like Benefit Street and Roger Williams National Monument. Awesome place to sit and read or just enjoy the day. Even saw a wedding here once. If you don’t have a car it can be a bit of hike to get here, but the view is worth it.

An observation deck offers stunning views of the city from above. Nearby, there’s a small park with a green lawn where children play, and many young people relax on benches. Several artists can be seen painting, inspired by the sunset.

Stunning view. A modest space for picnicking and the like. Feels very tranquil and everyone seated and facing the same direction its almost like being at a concert or a movie.
