2026 Update: Dr. Oren Sagher earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago and completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Virginia. He is board-certified in neurological surgery. After completing his chief residency at the University of Virginia, Dr. Oren Sagher joined the neurosurgical faculty at the University of Michigan. He later served as Chief of Neurosurgery at the Ann Arbor Veterans Administration Hospital, a position he held until 1996. He went on to complete a fellowship in Pain and Functional Neurosurgery at Oregon Health & Science University and subsequently became Director of Neuromodulation at the University of Michigan. As the primary functional neurosurgeon at the University of Michigan, Dr. Oren Sagher treats conditions such as epilepsy, chronic pain, Parkinson’s disease, and other movement disorders. He is board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS). He has also served on the Executive Council of the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Pain, which he chaired from 2003 to 2005.
