VISHAD KUMAR, MD - SEMMES-MURPHEY CLINIC REVIEWS
After 2 years of a mystery leg, foot, and mobility issue and being brushed off by many hospitals and specialists in Memphis…and lots of feeling defeated and unheard…I was finally referred to Dr. Kumar. I immediately felt comfortable with him and he was definitely attentive and concerned with what I had to say. I finally felt like a doctor was invested in figuring out what was wrong. We are still in the process of solving the mystery, as I have just started seeing him and have many tests ahead of me, but I can already tell you that I feel miles ahead of where I was before with other hospitals and specialists and 110 percent more comfortable. He is incredibly caring and I am positive he will work to solve this mystery. If you are referred to him, don’t hesitate a bit. he is top notch!
My husband and I are very pleased with the service we receive at Semmes Murphy Neurology and with our Neurologist, Dr. Vishad Kumar. He is so thoughtful and so carefully explains our concerns. Thank you Dr. Kumar and Semmes Murphy.
I like Dr. Kumar. He is frank and gets to the point. Gentle, kind but serious. He is knowledgeable and understanding.

JESUS MARTINEZ, MD - REGIONAL ONE HEALTH REVIEWS
I have been seeing Dr. Martinez for 3 years and have found him to be in all cases an outstanding physician. Treating me for a chronic nerve disease he has been relentless in his efforts to find a treatment that would allow me to stay on my feet and employed. I will be forever grateful to him for his quick diagnosis and successful efforts in fighting this insidious disease. He has even called me at home from time to time just to check on me during the worst days of my illness. I rarely have to wait longer than 10 minutes in the office for my appointments and the office staff and nursing staff is friendly and supportive. I just do not have words enough to compliment this fine physician.

DR. JAMES WHELESS, MD - LE BONHEUR CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL REVIEWS
My son was diagnosed with epilepsy 4 years ago and had been medicated to keep the seizures suppressed. He would often have breakthrough still. Dr Wheless was very aggressive and thorough in his testing and diagnosing of my son and recommended him for surgery to remove a brain tumor. He diagnosed my son to have an operable brain tumor. He worked with Dr Boop(best neurosurgeon) and my son’s tumor was safely removed within 4 days after arriving here to Memphis! He was very thorough with testing to ensure that it was indeed an operable tumor that would not leave any deficits. Can’t say enough about Dr Wheless and Dr Boop and staff! They are the best!
My daughter was diagnosed with what is now called a Dnet tumor when she was 4. We were sent to Herman hospital in Houston where we met Dr Wheless, we followed him to LaBonner. Her diagnosis in Tulsa was not good and getting worse that how ended up with Dr Wheless. To make a long story short she is now 34 and has two children and was the outstanding senior upon graduating from NSU. The Man and Labonner are truly miracle workers. Thank u from the bottom of our hearts.
Words can not describe how thankful my family is for Dr. Wheless. We drove 7 hours to see him. After my 12 year old had a completely normal life, had her first seizure then later was diagnosed with epilepsy, our world got turned upside down. He was so compassionate and caring. Not only that he was hope, at that point an ounce of hope was all we wanted. He gave us that and so much more. He truly is a great Dr. I did my research, he's who I trust my child with.
