MICHAEL M. HAGLUND, MD, PHD, MED - DUKE SPINE CENTER REVIEWS
Dr. Haglund is one of the finest doctors I've ever met. A praying doctor who doesn't mind giving the credit to God for his ability to get the job done. He did my surgery on four different discs at two different times and I am very satisfied with what he did. My neck is so much better and I appreciate the team that work with him to make my experience so comfortable. Thank you Dr.Haglund . I would highly recommend him to anyone with neck problems.
Dr Haglund is a great doctor and his nurse Sara, is great also. I’m blessed to have found such good care from them as a great team. Dr Haglund prayed over me as he does every patient prior to surgery and I went in with a sense of peace, and calmness about me. I can’t thank y’all enough, definitely a team of excellence! Dr Haglund definitely will get my vote, thank you Sir, and May heaven continue to shine upon you.
Amazing Dr. compassionate and thorough. My experience with him for my cervical fusion was miles above my first one at a different clinic. I cannot recommend him and his staff at Duke highly enough.

ALLAN H. FRIEDMAN, MD - DUKE CANCER CENTER BRAIN TUMOR CLINIC REVIEWS
The absolute best, I went through three Nuerologist and two Nuerosurgeons, all of which had no clue about the mass my brain was harboring. I finally had enough and wanted answers and found Dr. Friedman, within five minutes of him being in the room I had all the answers I had been looking for for a year. He told me everything I needed to know and took the time to understand my position and me as a young man with a big problem. He’s polite, straight to the point, and one of the smartest men I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I elected surgery as my course of action, to which he removed a mass about the size of an adult thumb out of my right temporal lobe. Leaving me with zero deficits. He’s the best Surgeon and doctor I’ve ever had and I would 10/10 recommend him to absolutely anyone. He gave me my life back and for that I’ll forever be grateful; a real life superhero. The Brain Tumor Center at Duke is one of the best in the world and I speak from experience. He’s the best there is plain and simple. Good luck to anyone here reading this, it’s a long road but it gets better. He’s the man with the plan.
This doctor is the best brain surgeon around. After having an unexplained seizure in the 37th week of pregnancy (healthy baby was delivered safely), I underwent multiple head CTs, MRIs and MR Spectroscopies and each one indicated a different diagnosis. After a couple more seizures, I was referred to Dr. Friedman who picked up the original head CT done the night of the first seizure and said "This is a brain tumor". However, since there had been multiple conflicting diagnoses he said he would have to perform a brain biopsy to prove his theory (this was not fun), and he was correct. He personally followed up to give me the final diagnosis of brain tumor, he personally scheduled the surgery, and he personally performed both surgeries (biopsy and craniotomy). He was also readily available to the ER staff 10 days after the craniotomy when I developed a blood clot. Overall excellent physician and highly recommended!
I have heard amazing things about the doctor. If you can get past the office staff, you will probably find yourself in the hands of a good doctor. His office staff, probably are chipping away at his reputation, unfortunately.

OREN N. GOTTFRIED, MD - DUKE SPINE CENTER REVIEWS
I can not say enough about Dr. Oren N. Gottfried and his staff. My fiancé injured his back on June 30th. He was unable to stand, walk or sit. It was truly sad to see him in so much pain. I did a lot of research and we chose Dr. Gottfried as his doctor. This was the best decision we could have ever made. He took his time with us explaining everything regarding this injury. He was very honest with us regarding surgery and was always available when we had questions. His staff was always courteous and helpful. Today my finance' is walking, sitting and standing. If anyone gives a negative review about Dr. Gottfried or his staff there is no way this could be true. Dr. Gottfried is an incredible neurosurgeon and is truly a blessing from God.
Dr. Gottfried listened to my concerns and took them seriously. I appreciate him not being dismissive and being willing to help me when no one else will! My pain and quality of life has been absolutely terrible. I'm very hopeful that I can have a better life with the help of Dr. Gottfried.
Dr. Gottfried is very kind and informative, answers my questions and considers my concerns and suggestions.
