JAMES S. HARROP, MD - JEFFERSON UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS REVIEWS
Dr. Harrop did a muscle biopsy on me that NO ONE was willing to do. He is kind, compassionate, and actually talks to you so you understand what is going. I have met some doctors, especially surgeons, who like to think they are the smartest people on earth. Since my biopsy, I have been getting treated for a neck injury. If I need surgery, he will be the only doctor I use. Also, I have seen some negative reviews because of how far out appointments are made. Firstly, that is not Dr. Harrop’s fault. Secondly, I can tell you this from first hand experience. I was hospitalized and was discharged after 5 days saying I needed a rheumatologist. I was able to get an appointment within 48 hours. Long story short, after 6 wasted months, I had to find a new rheumatologist. Maybe there is a reason his appointments are so far out.
After 3 other back surgeries I finally found the Dr that could correct the previous failures While we did have an issue with the cage that was placed in the front moving requiring another surgery and no rooms at Jefferson for the entire week his partner Dr Heller did correct the issue at the end of the week leaving me now standing tall with only issues at night concerning pain. After going through 3 other surgeries over a 4 year time to finally have someone look at an x ray and say yeah I can fix it and then do so was just a 5 star for me.
After years of back pain from a fall, and years of spinal epidural injections where another ortho group in CC would not consider a surgical procedure due to my cardiac and pulmonary problems, Dr Harrop saw me, reviewed films, reviewed my meds and said YES to surgery. It’s been 6 years and I’m grateful and mobile! P.S. Malachy Ronayne is my nom de plume, Bob Rohan.

Well I’m here to tell ya it worked and I have been 99.9% pain free thanks to you. I was supposed to be in hospital for 10 days. WILLIAM C. WELCH, MD, FACS, FICS - PENN NEUROSURGERY REVIEWS
I've had my last two surgeries preformed by Dr Welch . At that time I lived in South NJ. I now live in Oceanview Delaware, approximately 3.40 Jr's away on a good day . I'm in need of my 5th back surgery and I will make the journey to see Dr Welch . He is an amazing ,brilliant, and down to earth Doctor . I would drive to the end of the earth just to have Dr Welch. I also commend his staff for their meticulous attention to detail and the compassion they have for all of their patients . Kim M.
I chose Dr. Welch at Penn after extensive research on who to see for my spinal stenosis. From my initial consultation to my last post-op appointment Dr. Welch and his staff treated me with kindness and respect. He was thorough in his explanation of my spine problem and his recommended treatment plan. He answered all of my questions at every appointment. Diana his NP is amazing. I felt 100% confident prior to surgery. I am beyond grateful to Dr. Welch for giving me my life back!
Changed my life. I was in pain on a daily basis suffering from a herniated lumbar disc. After years of attempting to work through the injury with injections, PT, Chiropractor, exercise etc... I made a great decision to see Dr. Welch. My disc herniation was removed and replaced with a spacer as well as my L4-L5 vertebrae being fused. I can't thank Dr. Welch and his staff enough for giving my life back to me pain free. Thank you.
