Dr. Alexander R. Vaccaro earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he was promoted with "Distinction." Following this, he completed a surgical internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA, and subsequently undertook his orthopedic surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University, graduating in 1992. Since 2014, Dr. Vaccaro has served as the president of Rothman Orthopaedics, and he currently holds the prestigious positions of Richard H. Rothman Professor and Chairman in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Professor of Neurosurgery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Alexander R. Vaccaro is an incredibly prolific author with a vast body of work that includes over 900 peer-reviewed publications and 200 non-peer-reviewed publications. He has also contributed to the field by publishing 372 book chapters and serving as the editor of 63 textbooks. Notably, he co-edited the renowned texts OKU-Spine I and OKU-8, further showcasing his expertise and influence in the field.
