He has over 35 years of experience in this field. He is the founder of Tomaino Orthopaedic Care and has successfully managed his private practice since 2008, providing unparalleled, hassle-free access to the highest level of expertise and innovation. From 1994 to 2008, Dr. Tomaino worked at two academic medical centers. He was Professor of Orthopaedics at the University of Rochester Medical Center and Chief of the Division of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery (2002 to 2008) and was Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Chief of Microsurgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (1994 to 2002). He has published over 150 research articles and book chapters on shoulder, elbow, and hand problems and treatments and has trained many residents and fellows.
