Amarillo Zoo comprises about 25 barnyard animals and occupies an area of 2.5 acres. Amarillo Zoo is pleased to offer a range of entertaining and educational on-site or off-site programs for students to boost science literacy, link curriculum to state standards, reinforce concepts taught in the classroom, and bring book learning to life. The exhibit themes included Willie the Whale, Mouse Town, Indian Teepee, and Three Men in a Tub. The "Mountain" was the original main entrance featured the Seven Dwarfs Mine.
