"NASCAR Hall of Fame celebrates the heritage and history of car racing. The museum is full of classic and modern cars, immersive activities, realistic racing simulators, and clips of the most electrifying moments of your favourite drivers. The facility aims to pay tribute to NASCAR legends and build an everlasting memorial to the drivers, crew members, team owners, and others who have influenced the sport in the past, present, and future. The 5-acre area also features a privately built 19-storey office building and an extension to the Charlotte Convention Center of 102,000 square feet, enhanced by a 40,000-square-foot ballroom. NASCAR strives to provide all its visitors with a positive experience by offering facilities to assist them with specific needs and capabilities. In addition, you can take an in-depth tour of the racing culture in and around Charlotte.

“UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens contains curated inventory, educational, conservation, and research plant collections. Its mission is to encourage plant and nature love through training, classes, and botanical displays. The Botanical Gardens have developed over the last 40+ years into the unique opportunity that exists today, consisting of 10 acres of outdoor gardens, a 4500 sq ft glasshouse with the attached workspace. UNC Charlotte offers five free parking spaces for gardens, greenhouse visitors, next to the McMillan Greenhouse. You can get a relaxing walk through a beautiful environment, researching plants and wanting to know more about the area, and wondering about the plant variety. It affords free admission.”

NASCAR HALL OF FAME REVIEWS

I visited the NASCAR Hall of Fame and had a decent experience. The exhibit layout seemed well-designed, though nothing particularly stood out to me. Perhaps that’s how it’s meant to be. The most engaging part was the racing simulator—it was fun and added an interactive element to the visit. Unfortunately, while you can look at the exhibition cars, touching them is not allowed, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, I spent about 40 minutes exploring everything. It’s worth a visit if you’re a NASCAR fan, but for a casual visitor, it might not be too exciting.

An amazing museum with lots and lots of vehicles. As soon as we entered, we came to a hall full of vehicles with an example of part of the track. We entered a huge cinema hall and saw a film that explains the entire history of this industry, which turns out to be a crazy sport. There are lots and lots of attractive activities, from changing a wheel on a race car to measuring your time. There is a racing simulator where you get into a race car and it was one of the craziest and most fun things I've done. I was able to understand how high the drivers must be, especially at high speed. Highly recommended with children.

What an amazing place! So much history! So glad NASCAR was able to make this happen. The whole entire staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and nice. They help make the visit very memorable!.

DISCOVERY PLACE SCIENCE REVIEWS

As a homeschooling family with 4 children, this is one of our favorite places to visit! We recently experienced the newest exhibit, the Dinosaurs. It was incredible. I was blown away by the interactive media that enabled true interaction with the dinosaurs. There were even fossils that children could touch (something you’d never find in a regular museum). This dinosaur exhibit beats any other on the East coast that we have experienced! Overall, this museum is very well kept. Nothing is broken. I’m very impressed every time we step foot in this museum.

We visited the museum about a week ago, and I was impressed with the interactive elements throughout. My kids absolutely loved it—there were engaging activities and exhibits for all ages. The experience was highly informative, and we particularly enjoyed the various phases of the museum, especially the dinosaur exhibition. I highly recommend a visit.

Loved this place. Lot of variety of exhibits from animals to crafts. Kids had a blast here. Easily can spend a few hours here. This place also has an imax theater, which we didn't explore but pics looked cool. Highly recommend for a family time.

UNC CHARLOTTE BOTANICAL GARDENS REVIEWS

Definitely didn't expect the breathtaking experience this was! I thought we'd need an hour to look at everything and maybe buy a plant or two. You could easily spend several hours here. The grounds are absolutely stunning. The knowledge that goes into maintaining all of this plant life is simply amazing. Tip: make sure you're parked in a spot that won't land you a ticket.

We enjoyed walking around the Asian garden and saw different kinds of plants in the greenhouse. The Asian garden has lots of amazing trees and plants plus an Asian hut. The best thing in the greenhouse is there are different room such as desert room, tropical room and such where you can see plants that belong to each category.

These gardens were within walking distance of my hotel. This a beautiful way to spend a day. The greenhouses are a treat and the staff is outstanding! If in Charlotte and you love botany - this is a must-visit experience. The Gardens have lovely inside and outside areas with large collections of plants in each. This time I was able to take a workshop and learn how to make fairy houses and it was really fun experience.
