FREEDOM PARK REVIEWS

Beautiful and peaceful park for all ages! They have softball, football and volleyball arrangements on the periphery of the park and then all around the water, you can picnic, play some family games or enjoy an afternoon nap. I believe they have live music and events in the summer, not sure but the stage was set up for it so definitely keep an eye out. The washrooms very clean and well maintained. There are 3-4 parking areas around the park but they do fill up fairly fast.

What a beautiful park. It reminds me of my hometown park where I used to go. It has gentle walking paths. I have ankle problems but didn't struggle at this path. I fully enjoyed the landscape. There is a big playground as well. Also has many benches& shady areas. I highly recommend this park.

A beautiful park! We spent the afternoon here with our dog and really enjoyed ourselves. The pond is beautiful to take your chairs and a picnic and sit. There were tons of families enjoying the day.

ROMARE BEARDEN PARK REVIEWS

It's such a spacious park. I love that it has a huge grassy area right beside the Knights Stadium. You can have a picnic there. People sometimes are out playing with their dogs or just great fun watching the game from the sidelines. They have nice flowers and garden all around the park. They have a waterfall with colorful lights in the background where the kids usually love to run around and play. Just a great spot to be in, if you want to be in the city but away from the hussle and bustle of the restaurants nearby. Of course, it's in uptown, so parking is non-existent unless you are lucky enough to snag a side street parking.

Absolute beautiful park! There's a huge field to play catch or kick ball in. Or lay out in the field for a picnic. There's even a dog park for the fur babies. There's benches all over for sitting as well as a beautiful water exhibit. This park is right across from the baseball field and a block away from the stadium.

Nice and small park in uptown area. You can have your lunch. Dog friendly. You may see live music as well. No free parking.

Love this place. Nice feeling of community and the lake is full of fun critters (turtles, beaver looking critters) Little park for kids and adults, and a basketball court. This is where we recycle too. Fun place to hike about .

Reedy Creek is amazing, with plenty of trails to explore. I usually visit 3 to 4 times a week, since moving to Charlotte 5 years ago. They have two large ponds to fish in, and a wonderful nature center.
