Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is conserving the natural world. It has the most extensive collection of animals in the US and contains an exciting simulated tropical rainstorm for its Rainforest exhibit. The zoo spans 18 reservations covering more than 23,700 acres, with more than 300 acres of woods, eight golf courses, eight lakefront parks, and a globally recognized zoo. Cleveland Metroparks provides incredibly rich, hands-on educational opportunities to interact with nature and promote conservation and sustainable growth. Over the last three years, it has been educated more than 8,000 urban students. Metroparks offers free or low-cost nature programs from preschool to seniors to all ages. Nature centers and school programs are open regularly for free drop-in visits. Cleveland Metroparks Zoo affords free admission for under two years of age.
