“U.S. Space & Rocket Center is a Smithsonian Affiliate and the Official Visitor Center for NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center. The museum has one of the largest collections of rockets and space memorabilia on display anywhere in the world. Most of the visitors have been from out of state or from foreign nations. The museum's Spacedome IMAX Theater brings you to several worlds with amazing documentary films like Hubble. Live demonstrations in the Discovery Theater will have you viewing space science in an entirely new light. In the park, guests can experience 3 Gs of centrifugal force aboard a G-Force Accelerator, see a Boeing CH-47D Chinook and other military hardware, as well as view a mock-up of the Apollo 11 landing site, including a model of the lunar lander and planted American flag on the cratered surface. U.S. SPACE & ROCKET CENTER REVIEWS

We had a great time at the Space Rocket Center. We went on President's Day with some friends from out of state and it was a great introduction of Huntsville - Rocket City! I love that the ticket allows you all day access, and you can even leave and come back. We really enjoyed all of the displays and there is something for everyone, even little kids! We had a blast and will definitely be back in the future.

This is an awesome place to visit. They have a lot of exhibits to look at and a lot of rockets on display. There are various interactive activities throughout the facility, some included in the admission price and some cost extra. We were surprised to see so many activities for small children, not just school-aged ones. It's definitely a place to see if you are in the area.

Early afternoon visit and had a great time - could have spent a few more hours easily. Excellent exhibits and presented in a way for all ages to enjoy. Speaking of all ages, if you want to some tranquility during your visit, it seems the school buses departed around 2 pm. All in all, would highly recommend this as a stop.

HUNTSVILLE BOTANICAL GARDEN REVIEWS

We’ve been here both for the Galaxy of Lights and the azalea blooming season. Both of these events were a perfect representation of Huntsville. Take with that what you will. Admission fees are $20 for adults or $15 for students with ID. We were able to visit the Mama Zelda exhibit which was pretty cool to walk around in and spot all 10 seeds. I would definitely recommend to visit twice. Once for the winter light show and once in the warm seasons for the plants. Lots of weddings take place here as we found out on our random Sunday visit. Overall this place is worth the day trip to see the flowers and take a walk out in the trees. We spent about 2 hours total in the gardens and saw most of it. The azaleas are beautiful! It is usually never crowded as well even on weekends which is great.

The family and I decided to take a short weekend trip down to Huntsville, and we saw this place and thought we’d try it. We’ve never been to a botanical garden before, but this one place is worth an entire trip to Huntsville! It definitely won’t be our last visit here! Tons of stunning landscapes, hardscapes, nature trails, fun exhibits, and flat out relaxation as you take in the scenery. 5 out of 5.

We love the gardens. They always have beautiful flowers blooming, walking trails, swings, and more. They bring in an exhibit every year of artists and they display their work in the gardens and it’s beautiful. The butterfly house is one of my favorite things.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Veterans Memorial Museum in Huntsville, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. This hidden gem is a must-see for anyone visiting the area—whether you’re a history buff, a veteran, or just someone who appreciates the sacrifices made for our freedom. The museum houses an impressive and well-curated collection of military artifacts, vehicles, uniforms, and personal stories that span from World War I to the present day. What makes the experience even more special is the staff—many of whom are veterans themselves. Their passion, knowledge, and friendliness added a deeply personal touch to the visit. They were more than happy to answer questions and share incredible stories. Highly recommended. Great people, powerful exhibits, and a deeply meaningful experience. Don’t miss it when you're in Huntsville.

I could not believe the amount of military history they had at this museum! We met up with a gentleman named Ray who had served with 3 branches over 42 years. Ray worked there and gave us some incredible anecdotes about the equipment and challenges in different American conflicts - an amazing lesson in history. I would encourage anyone looking for something to do in Huntsville to go.

My family has been to a lot of different military museums, this was one of the best I’ve seen! The museum was well organized and maintained. The staff was knowledgable and friendly. I highly recommend visiting here, our whole family (especially the kids) enjoyed.
