Huntsville Botanical Garden is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a part of the American Public Gardens Association, the North American Plant Collections Consortium, and the American Horticultural Society. It is the 112-acre garden that is open year-round and contains a diverse ecosystem of meadows, upland, and bottomland forest. They are dedicated to promoting their community by maintaining living plant collections, giving strong educational programs, and participating in specialized research. The kid's garden consists of 8 themed areas and is a favorite destination for play, pretend, and hands-on learning. Their gift shop gives a thoughtfully curated collection of gifts for the home/garden, tasty southern gourmet items, books, and jewelry. The Huntsville Museum of Art is a non-profit public corporation founded by the City of Huntsville, AL, and administered by a city-appointed Museum Board. Its mission is to bring people and art together through collecting, preserving, exhibiting & interpreting the highest quality works of art. The museum seeks to foster an understanding of the visual arts and appreciation of artistic achievement. Almost 40,000 pupils visited the museum during a taste for splendor, Russian Imperial, and European Treasures from the Hillwood Museum. In addition to its displays, the museum offers art classes for kids and adults, lectures, special programs, and musical shows that add extra dimensions to the artwork. The Huntsville Museum of Art offers free admission for members and children age six and under.
