“U.S. Space & Rocket Center is a Smithsonian Affiliate and the Official Visitor Center for NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center. The museum has one of the largest collections of rockets and space memorabilia on display anywhere in the world. Most of the visitors have been from out of state or from foreign nations. The museum's Spacedome IMAX Theater brings you to several worlds with amazing documentary films like Hubble. Live demonstrations in the Discovery Theater will have you viewing space science in an entirely new light. In the park, guests can experience 3 Gs of centrifugal force aboard a G-Force Accelerator, see a Boeing CH-47D Chinook and other military hardware, as well as view a mock-up of the Apollo 11 landing site, including a model of the lunar lander and planted American flag on the cratered surface. U.S. Space & Rocket Center offers free admission for children ages four and under.”
