A wide ranging and vast collection of modern and ancient art and artifacts. Well arranged, well collected, well preserved. This place can rival museums in many large cities. Friendly docents and a free coat check. Did I mention the museum is FREE as well? I've been to much worse collections and paid dearly for it. A lovely place to spend a couple hours, at any price.

I love this Kansas City Zoo! It is located in historic Swope Park. With more than 1,000 animals and over 200 acres, the Zoo is an affordable fun in Kansas City. As someone who loves animals and has visited many zoos, the Kansas City Zoo is unique in many ways. One of them which I love is the free roaming kangaroos. I was less than 2 feet away from one of the kangaroo and at first I thought they were loose. There were nice new exhibits including the Polar Bear Passage and the Penguin Plaza.

This is a real gem! We had a terrific tour with a gentleman who was a walking encyclopedia on history! The promotional materials on this site just don't do it justice. I was absolutely overwhelmed with the scale of artifacts preserved in this amazing museum. One of the most striking impressions is the color. As our guide pointed out, we tend to have an almost black and white impression of history from this age, that's probably because we only see it in black-and-white pictures.
