“McDonald's Museum celebrates the nostalgic history of McDonald's memorabilia. Dick and Mac McDonald formed McDonald's Bar-B-Q in 1940. They had 20 carhops and a menu of 25 items, which included barbecue ribs, beef and pork sandwiches. Soon, they became the number one teen gathering spot in San Bernardino. Dick McDonald started researching his sales of items and found that 80 percent of his sandwiches sold were hamburgers. The museum was founded in 1988. The museum holds the most comprehensive collection of pre-Ray Kroc McDonald's memorabilia, such as news stories, photographs, and mementos, including menus, straws, cups, and a concept for ketchup gun distribution. McDonald's Museum continues to grow every year and is free to the public.”
