"USS Midway Museum has America's longest-serving 20th-century aircraft carrier, and the museum has a varied collection of aircraft built in Southern California. The ship is 1,001 feet long, has 4,500 crewmembers, and has 212,000 horsepower. Tourists can visit a floating town at sea and the spectacular flight deck, 29 restored aircraft, and flight simulators. The USS Midway Museum offers a self-guided audio tour given by Midway sailors in English, Mandarin, Spanish, Japanese, French, and German. In addition, tourists can enjoy a self-guided 60-piece audio tour showcasing the town at sea. The museum offers free admission for children aged five and under.

2026 Update: USS Midway Museum's major theme of the museum is “living naval history”, where aircraft, restored spaces, and preserved ship systems help demonstrate how naval aviation operations worked at sea. It is designed to encourage spending several hours exploring the ship due to its size and number of exhibits. It is part of a larger network that supports walking, biking, and cultural tourism."
