The immersive museum is an exciting family experience as visitors walk in the footsteps of the 225,000 young men on Midway. The museum gives a self-guided audio trip in English, Mandarin, Spanish, Japanese, French, and German narrated by Midway sailors. San Diego Air & Space Museum is one of the nation's largest aviation museums, with the third-largest archives and library collection. With various aircraft on display outdoors, a compelling sm-65 atlas ICBM, museum model shop, and a repair shop, the Gillespie field annex is open to the general public. Their hands-on, inquiry-driven programming encourages learners of all ages, emphasizing science, technology, and engineering creativity and imagination. The museum is easily open to disabled visitors. It affords free admission for children two and under, SDASM members & active duty military.
