The Roger Williams Park Zoo of Providence, Rhode Island, contains more than 150 animals from around the world in natural settings. In 1986, it became the first zoo in New England to earn accreditation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Founded in 1872, it is the third oldest zoo in the nation. We went for the dinosaur exhibit, which was fantastic and well worth the up charge.
My self, my daughter, and five of my grandchildren attended the Christmas light spectacular and it did not disappoint. So many beautiful light displays to take on, Christmas carolers and hot coco made for a wonderful evening. This zoo does such an amazing job on this event every year and I would recommend to anybody from anywhere to visit.
Love visiting for the Jack-o-lantern spectacular for the past few years. Plenty of incredible works of art to admire. Go on a weekday so it's not too crowded. Parking is free and decent if the crowd is light. Stroll at your own pace and take in all the sights. Definitely fun for all.
