Nice little downtown. Has variety of restaurants/shopping. Clean park. Love it especially now that dogs are allowed. The Thursday summer concerts are the best!
A lovely place surrounded by benches. Here is one playground. Clean and nice.

TOP 3 NEWHALL COMMUNITY PARK REVIEWS
This is a beautiful park. Soccer fields are full of kids, water features with Duck families and Canadian Goose families. Wonderful dog park with great dogs and their people. All grass. Huge. Separate park for small dogs. Park is HUGE! Bocci ball, runners, walkers, trails, hills... I have not explored anything past the dog park.
It was just an absolute flawless Sunday afternoon. So much so that I played a little jazz for the sparrows and the puppies I felt such an inspired energy there outside . But the best part of the day was that I never realized there is a babbling brook there. Simply wonderful!!
After lot of training we got a sunny day on this amazing park. My son was driving a speed control car. This place is perfect for that. Lot of space and different grounds. And my little one enjoy chasing ducks... there are lots of them.

TOP 3 HILLCREST COMMUNITY PARK REVIEWS
Great lil’ 9 hole course. It was challenging but not really intuitive with its layout. Being guided by the UDisc app is suggested as the holes Chris cross one another. There are a few water features. The setting is nicely laid out in a young redwood forest at times. This park features much room for other activities as well. I think I even turned some of the arborists on to the game. I’m not sure if I could get back to this place without google’s assistance.
This is an ALL-abilities playground & is wonderful for all ages, including caregivers interacting with the children. Ramps throughout the play structure for full accessibility, swings (including adaptive & parent-child tandem), tire swing, lots of area to run around on a fully covered impact-reducing ground. There is a smaller child play town & two water mist features, along with chimes & xylophone to play on (bring your own mallets, though). There are several picnic tables & a grassy picnic area for larger groups. It has public restrooms & is right by a large grassy ball field. Decent amount of parking & located off Olivera Rd.
If you haven't been to this park since the 90's, give it another try. Its been cleaned up and money well spent. Nice place to take the dog for a walk and chill.
