Buffalo Bayou Park is one of the most beautiful urban parks in Houston. It is a 160-acre green space that lies west of downtown Houston. The park has beautiful gardens, native landscaping, hike and bike trails, paddle craft, bike rentals, public art, a creative nature play area, and two visitor centers. The 2-acre park consists of separate play areas for large and small dogs, a pond where dogs can swim freely, and dog washing areas. Buffalo Bayou Park is the perfect place for visitors to picnic, relax and enjoy outdoor activities. The park features a treehouse with a climbing net and a picnic pavilion.

Alexander Deussen Park is an excellent picnic spot located in Houston. It has 309-acres of parkland. The park has a 2.5-mile jogging trail has an asphalt surface with exercise equipment along the way. The park has many outstanding features that include a lake with boating, tennis courts, and play areas. Alexander Deussen Park is an ideal destination to hang out with your friends, families and generally meet up in all sizes of groups. The park has 230 cement picnic tables available, in which some are handicap accessible.
