Levy Park is one of the best urban parks in Houston! It’s clean, well-maintained, and has something for everyone. The green space is perfect for picnics or just relaxing, and the landscaping is beautiful. The playground is fantastic for kids, with plenty of creative and interactive structures to keep them entertained. For adults, there’s ample seating, shaded areas, and even a dog park. The park also hosts events, food trucks, and has a great atmosphere for socializing or just unwinding. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak hours, but it’s well worth the visit. Definitely a gem in the city!

This park is perfect for little ones! My 18-month-old absolutely loves it—there are always plenty of kids around to play with, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The playground is safe and well-maintained, and there’s plenty of space to run around. Plus, the coffee shop right across the park is a fantastic bonus for parents looking to grab a great cup of coffee while the kids play. Highly recommend!

Nice park for kids. Very relaxing, a lot of activities for small children. Kind ice cream truck was there which was great. Live music as well. Plenty of seats for adults.

Alexander Deussen Park is a beautiful park on the brink of the picturesque Lake Houston. The park offers picnicking, walking, biking, birdwatching, fishing, kayaking, boating, etc. There are playgrounds to keep children entertained. The sunset view is mesmerizing. Visited there twice and found some part of the park always under construction. Facilities could be cleaner, and more shaded areas would enhance comfort.

I went to the park on a relatively busy Saturday. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the park and the facilities as well as the presence of park security. They did a great job of keeping the roadways clear and making sure people parked in the allotted parking spaces. Overall, a very family-friendly atmosphere and a nice place to enjoy the playgrounds with small children.

This. Park is incredible playgrounds. Pavilion's picnic tables, barbecue pits, workout area Frisbee, golf, walking trails, bike trails, fishing. It just goes on and on absolutely fabulous. You will never think you're in Houston peacock ducks. Beautiful lake. It's a must visit.

DISCOVERY GREEN REVIEWS

We had such a great time at Discovery Green. The kiddos enjoyed themselves. The park is free to enjoy. There are places the shop and eat nearby. This is a very inexpensive outing for families where kids can have fun and wear themselves out. Next time, we will bring lots of cardboard to slide down the hill with.

I absolutely loved this area. I was excited to see so many people using this area for different things. From gathering for Thursday night live music to a dog park, kids playing on the playground and others looking at either the art or the gardens, this was a place for everyone. I want an area like this back home. If you are in down town Houston you have to come check this amazing treasure out.

Very nice park. Lot of room to play and fun playgrounds for kids. If you come with kids bring a sheet of cardboard to slide down the grass hill. Also just a nice walking area after dinner or lunch. If you like to roller skating they have fun rink and skate rentals.
