I truly love this park! It is centered in the middle of downtown Houston but once you're there you forget it's in the middle of all that hustle and bustle. They always have great activities goin on and they are always free. We have attended many functions at this park and we have not been disappointed.

Probably the best county park in the Houston area. Situate on the southwest banks of Lake Houston overlooking the spillway which leads to the more underdeveloped and natural Eisenhower park. Deussen has many picnic tables with BBQ pits and shared trash cans. There are also nearly two dozen covered pavilions. Some are available by reservation and a few are fist come first serve.
