Nice and beautiful park in journal square area! Enough space for picnic, sports and just chilling. Has a fountain and river side which is quite pretty. It’s very lively during summer and I always found it safe. Recently there is a carnival going on, perfect for a weekend outing and just enjoy some rides and carnival food
Such a beautiful and well kept park. The bike paths are dreamy, tons of space for picnics, and a lovely pond in the middle.
I've been going to Lincoln Park (AKA West side park)since the early 70s. Was raised in that park,it's amazing how it looks now with the fountain working and the lights at night. Just beautiful.

The park is located next to the river front. Has a good landscaping and is a big arena. Lots of people during the evening hang out here. Regular events are organised by Newport management for the residents. A fun place for family. There are food carts outside the park for quick bite - most of the days. Target is a quick couple of mins walk away.

VAN VORST PARK REVIEWS
This is a beautifully kept Park. It blooms all year round and there's a lot of rare plants to be seen. Now is the time to go because everything starting to bloom, but there are many more blooming plants to come. I look forward to visiting this throughout the year!
Very cute little park! There are a lot of plants and flowers around in the spring and the summer, which makes it feel more like a garden than a park. There's also a little fountain, which you can often see birds using in the summer. The only downside would be the traffic noises. Montgomery St and Jersey Ave are both busy streets, and the park isn't large enough to really get away from the noise.
Beautiful little park in the Van Vorst part of Jersey City with a recently renovated dog run, kids playground, and a small kids sandbox & swings, and two outdoor tables with benches. The park is particularly beautiful in springtime where you'll see tons of flowers blooming
