I came in with an Ibanez High Performance model because the string action was too high and it just felt stiff playing. I chose to get it tuned up, the results are so amazing. Like how did my guitar gain such good sustain, just from a tune up!? I have no idea but these guys are so good! The string action is perfect, the fretboard looks so clean and the guitar plays like a dream. I was gonna get an Ibanez Prestige but my old HPT literally feels like it’ll be all I need the tune up. These guys did a perfect set up on my new Strat style Shijie. It’s unbelievable what difference a great set up can make to even brand new guitars. I’ll be bringing my other guitars here to get the same treatment.

We purchased our daughter's guitar from here years ago. Awesome local kid who went to Prep so I'm sure he's classically trained. So happy he's still open. Going in tom to buy a keyboard and tune our kids' ukulele and guitar.

Mr. Sam is an amazing music teacher! My son and I both take piano lessons with him, and he’s incredibly kind, patient, and talented. He takes the time to explain things clearly and makes learning music fun and relaxed. His voice lessons are wonderful too — he really brings out the best in his students. Ms. Heidi is also very understanding and accommodating making it very easy to book classes and whenever we need to reschedule a class. Music Steps in Jersey City has been such a great experience for both of us.

My 5 yr old has had a great experience learning piano here with Miss Ester for the last 5 months. Her teacher is kind, patient, and professional and keeps my daughter engaged and excited to play piano. She is atune to my child's abilities and adjusts the lessons so she feels challenged but not overwhelmed. The location is super convenient as well next to the grove street PATH. I would highly recommend.
