MORA MUSEUM OF RUSSIAN ART
80 Grand Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302 Directions
Mora Museum of Russian Art was paramount in presenting Russian art to American audiences. It has over 400 exhibits in its galleries and museums, with its core collection taken mainly from the private holdings of the human rights activist Alexander Glezer. MoRA has promoted Russian culture and community in the Tri-State region. Exhibitions of the museum have played a formative role in establishing the current Russian art market that has now been negotiated in New York. The museum brings together academics, authors, and poets from around the world for lectures and several symposia. MORA is particularly interested in the cultural programs of the inter-nation union, academic discourse and discussion, and how these are expressed and promoted by art and culture in general.

Colgate Clock is one of the few remaining memoirs of the industrial history of the region. It is currently located 400 m south of where the Colgate-Palmolive conglomerate headquarters of consumer products used to be found before it left the area in 1985. The clock ground is 1,963.5 square feet and a diameter of 50 feet. The minute hand is 10 inches long by 25 feet, and the hour hand is 20 feet long. The building of that building in the early 2000s forced a southward relocation of the clock to its present location. John A. Winters maintained the Jersey City clock from the 1930s until he retired in 1976. Colgate Clock also provides excellent views over the financial center of New York City. You can go for a walk or sit in one of the different benches to enjoy the view.
