The museum is a 300,000-square-foot education facility located on the Hudson River's Jersey City bank near the Statue of Liberty in Liberty State Park. The Science Center features 12 museum showrooms, a collection of 110 species of live animals, and massive aquariums. MORA Museum of International Art has over 400 exhibits in its galleries. The museum was paramount in presenting Russian art to American audiences. The museum's core collection is taken mainly from the private holdings of the human rights activist Alexander Glezer. Mora has promoted Russian culture and community in the Tri-State region.
