A beautiful park with considerably well-maintained trails. My main hike was from Wilbur Cross up the Giant's Stairs to the summit. A 20-minute hike, moderately difficult, with the last 1/8 of a mile being very, very steep. Be prepared if you' re going to go up the Giant's Stairs. The view from the top is breathtaking and well worth the hike.

On a recent weekend I wanted to find some new places to enjoy the coastline without venturing too far from New Haven. I had heard someone mention Lighthouse Point Park in a conversation, so I set out to discover the place for myself.

My family including two teenagers went for a very nice walk today around West Rock Ridge State Park. We took about 2 hours to make a loop of about half the park around the green, light blue, and red trails that included a stop at Judges Rock. There were gorgeous views and it was very peaceful.
