“Edgewood Park has over 120 acres along the west river, with walking trails by ponds and wetlands, and a viewing platform. The park offers opportunities for birdwatching and nature observation. The park amenities include a gazebo, dog run, playground, skate park, tennis courts, and a basketball court. It also has a water feature and a sundial sprinkler that provides a place for kids to play during the summer. The park has seven hard-surfaced tennis courts. EAST ROCK PARK REVIEWS

The summit of East Rock Park is accessible by foot, biking, and by car. It is totally free to drive on the top of East Rock. Parking on the summit is limited, but there is another parking in case of overcrowding. You will find Sailors' and Soldiers' monument at the summit and view of downtown New Heaven. As you know, New Heaven was built between two rocks, East Rock and West Rock. There is a rose garden in this park which was close by the time I visited the East Rock. I will visit this park again to see fall colors from the summit.

This is a beautiful park and a gem of new haven. You can drive all the way up the wonderful windy road or you can park at the bottom and hike up the pretty trails. There isn’t a ton of parking, but there is normally enough you don’t have to wait too long. It’s open all year and worth multiple trips.

Plenty of picnic tables, sooo much wildlife, variety of trails, endless adventures. Our family hike was so much fun despite the rain. The kids had a blast! Great exercise and incredible views.

They try to keep it clean Excellent place to bring your children and family as to host events If you are a New Haven resident it’s free with your vehicle registration but if you are not there is a charge It can change from year to year so I can’t be exact There is a swing set for young children to play there are grills for a cook out but only a few so you have to get there early as it is first come first serve There is also a splash pad and plenty of room to run around!! The carousel is open during the warm weather months and there is even a spot on the far end of the beach to fish! Something for everyone.

Fantastic experience at lighthouse point park beautiful scenic benches to sit at and if you're wiling to walk along the beach to the right you can definitely find some less crowded. Ore secluded spots to enjoy. Perfect for a beach picnic as the waves in the long Island sound are usually pretty small :) overall a fantastic experience and beautiful beach.

Excellent splash pad for the kiddos, nice sized playground to run around and warm up on. The beach is ok, larger sand particles so not the softest but still ok. The lighthouse property and surrounding landscaping definitely needs some TLC. The rocks below are fun to explore. Unfortunately the carousel wasn't operating while we were there.

EDGEWOOD PARK REVIEWS

The lower section of Edgewood park is a wonderfull area that has a cool trail,which is good for bike riding, walking and being in touch with nature, i see seniors walking there all the time for fresh air and exercise, i take my neices and nephews there to ride our bikes .and they also have a skate park in lower level, for trick bikes and skate boards.

The playground offers a diverse range of activities with tennis, basketball, and picnic facilities, making it a versatile spot for recreational fun. The variety of options ensures there's something for everyone.

Great walking trails, tennis courts, basketball courts, skate park... it's a wonderful escape right in our neighborhood.
