Situated directly along the Pacific Coast Bicycle Route, the park serves as a primary resting and staging point for long-distance coastal cyclists. It has a 60-acre site with massive rolling lawns and palm-studded grassy hills, making it a hybrid between a traditional park and a beach. A large, specialized play area featuring a "pirate ship" jungle gym for children. It has direct access for surfing, bodyboarding, kayaking, and fishing, and Numerous free barbecue areas and picnic tables scattered throughout the lawns. Dogs are permitted within the park and on the beach, provided they remain on a leash.”
