'Pullen Park' is the first beautiful public park in North Carolina and offers recreational opportunities for everyone. It has train ride, community center, boat rentals, ball fields, tennis courts, arts center, picnic shelters, concession stand, and Theatre in the Park. You can rent a pedalboat, take a swim, ride a carousel, sign up for an art class, play your favorite sport, and see a play. The community center hosts a variety of programs and offers rental spaces for meetings and events. 'Pullen Park' has six tennis courts and two athletic fields, stage and event lawn, historic Denzel carousel, lakeside, and multiuse area.

Laurel Hills Park is a Multi-use preserve, including a community center, playground, sports fields, pond, and walking trails. The playground designed for inclusive play for the enjoyment of children of all physical capabilities. The park has an elaborate wooden play structure of tunnels, bridges, towers, swings, and rings built over soft sand. The park includes a new recreation center, picnic area, athletic fields, a large pond, and a paved basketball court with bleachers.
