3 Best Music Schools in Raleigh, NC

Musicians Learning Center might seem a little intimidating, as it seems like such a large school that it could just be a factory for music learning. However, we’ve really enjoyed our lessons here. My daughter has been taking piano lessons here for 2-3 years and the school personnel, and our instructor are great communicators. I always know about cancellations, make up lessons, upcoming events and the school really cares about their students. They send out consistent surveys and reminders and reward the students as they progress. My daughter has had the same instructor for the duration of her lessons and she always makes a point to update me on her progress after each lesson. I don’t personally need these updates to know she’s progressing, but it’s an appreciated gesture that is so consistent that I know it’s one of the schools goals to consistently provide. I recommend Musicians Learning Center to anyone looking to learn an instrument. Keep in mind that they can accommodate different levels of learning, time of day/week and of course consistency.

I'm so grateful to TMLC and Ms. Marianna for all that you've done to help my little musician grow! Music therapy has been so effective in working towards communication goals, exposure to recital performance, and learning notes on the piano, just to name a few things. I love the ways you've been inclusive of all children. My child was so proud of her certificate as she moved up the Music Ladder as well as her medal for participating in the recital. She loves working with Ms. Marianna and looks forward to her sessions each week.

My son loves his guitar lessons there. Very accommodating, online lessons available, very mildly priced, one on one lessons.

Learning to sing or play an instrument requires learning how to be a musician, and being a musician necessarily means loving music for what it is and for what it does, gathering people together in community. The folks at the Raleigh School of Music understand this, and teach it to their students. That’s the mark of an excellent music school.

Raleigh School of Music has been wonderful for my 7 year old daughter! Her teacher Anne has so much experience teaching young children. She has the perfect blend of holding my daughter accountable for practicing and making learning piano fun and exciting. The school is very professional, easy to work with. Highly recommend.

I get violin lessons from Max at Raleigh School of Music and its a really nice environment that blends traditional/classical studies with personalized instruction. I went from sounding like a dying cat with my violin to being able to play some Star Wars songs, a bit of Vivaldi and Grieg. And I don't sound like a dying cat anymore. It's a great school, especially for violin.

The Raleigh School of Music is the best! I really appreciate that they want my son to commit to his lessons because we always have this conversation with him about jumping around and not giving anything a chance to "stick".
