KICKBACK JACK'S RALEIGH REVIEWS
Definitely Our New Fave! We went three times in three weeks. Might go again next week. We've gotten wings each time, also Firecracker Shrimp, tasty ribeye, seafood, cheesesteak egg rolls, and nachos. Everything was excellent! The staff is friendly, quick, and knowledgeable AND their teamwork is awesome.
This is a great spot to wind down after a long day. Good food and adult drinks. Definitely a kickback place. Been to this location a few times. Love their wings, fried pickles, and egg rolls. Service was good and fast. Everything was hot when it came out. Highly recommend this location.
Arrived a few minutes before 3pm Thursday. right at the time I could get the lunch special and my wife could get the dinner special. The fries were soggy but hot and tasted good. Everything else tasted good and was crispy. The pretzel sticks were remarkable with the jalapeño cheese dip. The prices were very good and the service was exceptional. Definitely worth the visit, will be back to try the ribs next.

BACKYARD BISTRO REVIEWS
This was our first time at this restaurant. We walked from PNC arena to get dinner here before a concert. I still don't know who technically was our server because so many of them stopped by to make sure we were doing okay and get what we needed. My biggest issue was the booth we were seated at, had a row of counter seating right beside it that you felt like they were on top of you. That was a little bit awkward. Other than that, the food was good and the service was great!
Very nice, spacious and sports atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff, we ordered Nachos, wow amazing delicious pulled pork and brisket nachos. Stephanie was super nice and helpful with the menu. Great hidden gem for sure!
Perfect location for anything at NC State or the Arena. Spacious with great views of the TVs. The staff were very friendly and the beer was cold. The was good too!! we really enjoyed our experience. We will be back.

Players' Retreat was founded by Bernie and Mickey Hanula. In 1994, Pete Jarrell took over the PR and continued the tradition as well as possible. Gus Gusler is the owner of its contemporary sports bar. The PR spot is inviting for those who need life to enjoy with their buddies, share toasts, have great times, and laugh. Their four old-fashioned TV sets were replaced by 13 large flat screens, the modern sports bar boasting gastropub menus and plasma envelopes by the dozen. The bar offers now include draft beer and 100 wines by the glass. The bar has featured hundreds of beer cans, some of the sparks that have not been brewed in decades. That is the uniqueness of this pub, they stand in neat rows on high, with their narrow shelves. Don't miss out on their popular lamb barbacoa, triggerfish tacos on handmade corn tortillas, pork carnitas, and slow-cooked to fork-tender succulence.

PLAYERS' RETREAT REVIEWS
Good food, good drafts, good sports, and homey comfort feels. This was my first time here and we came here to have dinner. The service was satisfying and very appreciated. She had good recommendations, she was helpful with the menu, and the size portions of the dish. I will definitely return and provide more business in the future.
Great burgers and beer selection! A little expensive but treat yourself. The burgers here are pretty solid and diverse. The onion rings are fresh and crisp. Get some donkey sauce (horseradish sauce) with them and you won't regret it. The bar staff are cool and pretty fun to talk to.
If you are near NC State do yourself a favor and stop in to the players retreat. Enjoy a Guinness and an eclectic menu of bar food. On Thursday night the chef mixes things up with a special menu. If you enjoy whiskey this place has a vast inventory.
