Manito Park is the best picnic spot and recreational center with one of Spokane's primary showplaces to the zoo. It has 78 acres of the cultivated and native landscape and 20 acres of botanical gardens. The park has five gardens, conservatory, and a duck pond that is voyaged by over 150,000 visitants every year. The park has large trees, and a well-tended garden makes for a fabulous place to visit.

Audubon Park has over 27-acres of rolling Ponderosa Pines and a favorite destination for events in Spokane. It has splash pads, ball fields, basketball courts, and offers a prime venue to host a birthday party or any number of family-oriented shows. They provide a toddler-oriented playground and more secure in their fenced-in play areas. Audubon Park offers wheelchair access and ample parking.

Franklin Park is a large green space with a picnic pavilion, athletic fields, and kids' playground. It has a wide area of mature parkland easily accessible, and a range of amenities continue to have year-round appeal for all ages. The playground has swings for toddlers, dog-free, sandpit and climbing frames. Franklin Park provides free parking, including disabled areas.
