KOKYU REVIEWS

Kokyu was really good and better than we expected. Each of our meals were delicious. I had the bahn mi sandwich and it was stuffed, which was great. Two of the other orders included the fried chicken and rice and the fourth order was the pork belly tacos. Everything was prepared just the way we wanted. The place itself is clean and nice and there are two sections once inside. One more of a front counter area and the other for formal seating. They had nice art around the place and overall a pretty good vibe. The service was great, and we didn’t expect to be greeted the second we walked in. Over the top service and then they checked on us a few times to make sure everything was OK. Overall, two thumbs up and a recommendation.

Amazing fusion food! Creative menu blending Asian, Latin, and American cuisines beautifully. My son and I ordered a baht mi sandwich, fish taco, and their special fries, loved all of them. The baht mi with korean beef short rib was crunchy, juicy and packed with bold flavor. Fish tacos with pickle slaw were zesty and crispy. Ko'Jangles fries and their house made dipping sauce are incredible. Friendly staff and great service! Must try if you live nearby or visiting the area like us.

Excellent Sandwiches- I had spicy cod one but rest of the group had pork belly or pork belly bowl. Very clean and spacious. Enjoyed our late lunch.

Super delicious panini sandwich shop which a lovely outdoor seating area in the middle of downtown Durham. Good, quick service even during lunch time rush. Great selections of paninis. Staff were super nice. Loved the pesto chicken panini. Solid crunch on the bread without being over-toasted. Toast toasts to perfection.

My absolute favorite place in Durham. Food is delicious, service is great! When I lived downtown it was a weekly staple, and I still make it a habit to eat. Everything on the menu is delicious and fresh. Perfect to eat in or take to go.

This cute Paninoteca was really good. The atmosphere was comfy and the decor was calming. You go to the counter and order your food then we got a number for our table and waited to be served. It was clean and the workers were friendly. We waited for our food a little longer then I would have liked but it was fresh and delicious! That’s my 2 cents now you decide.

Amazing, friendly sandwich shop. the staff are super friendly, the decor is lovely, cute, and kitschy, and most importantly, the sandwiches are extra yummy and delicious. I got the Caesar diavolo chicken cutlet sandwich, it was delicious and served on a sesame seed hero roll. But the roll isn't my hero, the employees are. This is such great sandwich loveliness. I would highly recommend.

Jen with Offline - We really enjoyed the sandwiches and the Calabrian Caesar Salad with Chicken! Nice beer selection, too (although not expansive). A relaxed atmosphere for meeting up with friends and family. Inside and outside dining are available.

Love this spot. Sandwich as excellent. They were able to help accommodate my food allergies and made a sandwich gluten free, dairy free and soy free. They are a nut free restaurant. Staff was helpful. Great and plentiful outdoor seating! Parking was tight and limited but I would return.
