I ordered scallops and lobster bisque. Both were very good. I would say skip the scallops as they weren’t anything special. Cooked perfectly but lacking in flavor. However their steak was to die for. Maybe one of the best and most unique flavored steaks ever. Choose french onion soup over the lobster bisque. Really enjoyed the king crab legs and the mocktail was also fabulous. We had a private room. I will say the service was European timed…so took forever and almost painful to get each next course ordered.

First time dining here,we came the day after Valentine’s Day. The whole experience was worth every second and every penny. Our waiter was incredible, made great recommendations on what to order. The drinks were delicious and made very well. Steaks and lobster cooked perfectly, and the jalapeño potatoes were a perfect addition to our meal. Our ticket was pretty steep but if you like to splurge on dining out at exquisite locations downtown, you will not be disappointed in this place. Beautiful view, sushi, and date night. Thanks soo much for making our night special. We will be back.

The ribeye steak might be the best I’ve ever had, melted in your mouth. The french onion soup and iceberg wedge are good starters. Service was excellent, it’s always been a standard high end restaurant in Denver.

JAX FISH HOUSE & OYSTER BAR REVIEWS

Had a great solo Monday-night dinner seated at the bar. With Justin making sure I was taken care of, I happily ate my Conneticut-style lobster roll & side of deep fried Anson Mill grits with - get this - potlicker butter. I don’t know exactly what it was, but it was DELICIOUS. Lobster in the roll was a touch chewy (probably overcooked) but the bread it was in was great. Will definitely be back in to try the rest of the menu.

Finally got around to trying Jax’s and I now know why it’s a Denver staple! Amazing happy hour and great service. Got the charbroiled oysters, lobster deviled eggs and gumbo. Be sure to get a dirty martini with the anchovy stuff olives.

This is a really cool place! The Monday night all night happy hour is the way to go. We ate tons of shrimp, they were so good. Staff here is exceptional.

BLUE ISLAND OYSTER BAR AND SEAFOOD REVIEWS

Blue Island Oyster Bar and Seafood offers an exceptional dining experience with top-notch food and service. I ordered the surf and turf; while the portion was on the smaller side, the quality of both the lobster and steak was outstanding. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the oysters. We enjoyed two rounds, totaling 18, and each one was delicious, with a great variety to choose from. It was a bit noisy at dinner time, which is to be expected, but it did make conversation difficult at times. If you're looking for high-quality seafood in Denver and are willing to pay a premium for it, this is an excellent choice.

The Clam Chowder and the Trout Dip were both fantastic, I would also recommend the Salmon Oscar, I was not as much a fan of the Miso Chilean SeaBass, the fish was fantastic, but the noodles and veggies with it were pretty meh. I would also HIGHLY recommend the key lime pie! I want to go back for the stuffed lobster and the fish n chips.

Went with my husband for the restaurant week for the first time and it was an amazing experience. Everything was delicious. We will come back for sure.
