The smiling elephant property looks like a nice small cozy house by the side of the road. The food at this place is on point. They have a curry of the day which tends to be the best per their recommendation. The massaman curry, mango sticky rice, coconut custard and the rolls all were great. Food came out surprisingly quickly. Fried rice here is pretty good as well. It is a great place if you are craving Thai food.

We purposely took bus and visited this restaurant after we saw all the good reviews on Google. But guess what, it was way beyond our expectations!! Everything was so so delicious especially the pad ka na!! The owners and servers showed excellent service and we will definitely come back soon.

I've never had Thai food this good before! As a vegetarian, I expected some decent options, but the quality and taste exceeded my expectations. I chose the veggie stir-fry with rice and asked for it to be spicy. I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing it turned out, and I left very happy with the meal. Thank you.

A lovely casual restaurant with a comfy feel. Our family got together for dinner here, and we all ended up loving our dishes! My husband got one of their varieties of pho, while I got a gluten free pad Thai with beef. Everyone was able to customize their spice, from none to mild to moderate via spicy sauce on the side, and we all felt that we got exactly the spice we wanted from our orders. I wish they were in our hometown so we could visit regularly, because this is probably the best Thai I've had.

Amazing Thai food. As a native of Thailand I will be returning to Ginger Thai for sure. Very similar to my mom’s cooking. Fantastic authentic delicious Thai food and great service. Linda was informative and attentive.

Very friendly staff making sure you have everything you need! I ordered a bowl of Pho and it was a very generous portion with all the fixings. I will definitely be back here again.

Degthai is one of those unexpected gems that earns its reputation the right way—by delivering bold, authentic flavors without overcomplicating the experience. What started as a humble food truck has grown into a brick-and-mortar location, and it’s easy to see why. The menu is tight and focused, built around classic Thai flavor profiles—bitter, spicy, salty, and sweet—that hit with purpose. I went with Jay’s Special, a stir-fried chicken dish that brought serious depth. I ordered it hot, and the spice level was dialed in perfectly—intense enough to bring the heat but not so much that it masked the flavor. The chicken was well-seasoned and juicy, and the Thai fried egg on top added a crispy, savory contrast that pulled the whole dish together. Even though the egg leaned a little overcooked, the texture worked in its favor. If you’re after no-nonsense, high-flavor Thai food in a laid-back spot, Degthai delivers. Highly recommend giving it a shot.

Heard this was one of the best Thai street food in Nashville. They were pretty busy but had a steady groove going when we dined in! Be aware they do not mess around with the spice level! We asked for a 3 and it was VERY spicy I like spicy so that wasn’t an issue but my husband was on FIREE ???? other places you tell them a 3 and they go easy. I would come back, the pad Thai fried rice and Thai tea was all delicious!

I was blown away by the taste, quality and the quantity of the food. I felt like I ate a good pad Thai after a really long time, perfectly cooked rice noodles which still had the perfect chew to it. The crispy tofu cucumber salad was so good and couldn’t stop eating. Every dish we ordered were art of perfection. Hands down one of the best Thai restaurants in and around Nashville.
