MARC D. BENEVIDES, MD - ASSOCIATED UROLOGISTS OF NORTH CAROLINA, PA REVIEWS
Excellent experience at this first rate practice. Was referred to Associated Urologists of NC due to rising PSA levels. Dr. Neighbors did a great job of collecting appropriate biopsies to determine cancer was present. Referred to Dr. Jalkut for options who went through them in detail. Decided on Robotic removal of prostate. Very successful surgery. Pathology showed no cancer in margins or lympth nodes. Early detection is key (watch those PSA levels and/or symptoms). Thank you Dr. Jalkut and Dr. Neighbors. I appreciate your dedication(and the staff) to patient care!
I have been seeing Dr. Tortora for years and have been very pleased with the care I have received. I had an appointment to see him on 09/28/23, but saw a Lady who said she was helping out Dr. Tortora. I told her I thought I had a kidney stone. She thought it to be OAB and gave me drug samples. After taking for 2 weeks I passed a stone and felt great. This was not a good experience for me.
I have been going to Dr. Tortora for years, and have been very pleased with the care I have received.

DR. SCOTT LISSON, MD, FACS - WAKEMED CARY HOSPITAL REVIEWS
Dr Lisson has been my Doctor for the treatment of bladder cancer. He is caring, compassionate, personable, easy to talk to and just an all around nice guy. He takes his time, answers any concerns you might have and offers options. He is a great listener too. - JM
I had a vasectomy yesterday, everyone was very nice and the procedure was fast and painless. As I was leaving the office I started to feel very flush and unstable so I asked for help from the front desk. It was seconds and the staff was out front to help. They assisted me in getting back to a room to lay down and got me recovered quickly with water. They were very patient, caring and helpful. Dr. Lisson was easy to talk to and provided excellent communication.
If I could give Dr. Lisson 6 stars, I would. He was an amazing professional with an outstanding bedside manner. His knowledge and skill as a urologist made me feel very comfortable. His nurse was also outstanding. The only issue I had was the front desk check-in person was not very nice. When I walked up she just said "Name?". Then gave me a cup and told me to go through the door. Would be nice to have a good morning, or a hello instead of an attitude and indifference. I won't penalize Dr. Lisson for this...he is an amazing Doctor!!
Dr Lisson takes care of my mother in law and she trusts him immensely. He has helped her for several years now and we are thankful he has been a part of our lives. When she first came she had a HUGE kidney stone that took more than one surgery. He also had to work with her numerous allergic reactions she has but he essentially cracked the code on what she could use along with the staff he works with during procedures. He gives you the facts and explains everything in a manner our family could understand. My mother in law is the type who does not want to go to the doctor so we trully appreciate Dr Lisson and his staff he keeps around him. From the moment you get to the front desk, the nurses, the team that calls and schedules referrals - and the office is always very clean this is where we all feel like we are at home.

BRANDON RUBENS, MD - WAKEMED CARY HOSPITAL REVIEWS
I completely recommend Dr. Brandon Rubens as your go-to doctor for anything kidney or bladder related. I was diagnosed with Sepsis twice and admitted to WakeMed twice. No one discovered the issue during the first hospitalization, but they did during the second one. Dr. Rubens was on call on the day that an MRI picked up a kidney stone. Dr. Rubens treated me until the infection was cleared up and then removed the kidney stone. He later removed the stent. I have never been in so much pain in my life but he followed me closely and worked with me on pain management. He then saw me on follow-up visits. He showed great compassion and was professional in every way. He made the most unpleasant situation bearable. If you need a great doctor, please visit his office. You will be glad that you did. Thank you Dr. Rubens and staff!
Dr. Rubens is really good at what he does. If you have the good fortune of being his patient, your health is probably going to be safeguarded in ways you might not even presume at the moment. Glad I was able to find him, and happy to be a continuing patient.
Very impressed when Dr. Ruben came to waiting room to get me. He was helping out the nurses! Being a retired nurse, I’m sure the nurses love to work with him! Great first impression!!
