I went for an area crop for my doberman and got quoted $495, it’s cash only. Dr. Butchko comes in and examines your dog, then asks for a picture of a crop you like and that’s what he bases the cut off of. They perform the surgery one day and keep the dog overnight, once you pick up your pup they give you medicine for pain and tell you to return in 10-12 days to remove the stitches, medicine is included as well as a cone but you can purchase a donut cone for more active pups for an additional $20. Every 3-7 days after getting stitches removed you do have to repost but they provide free postings for 3 weeks after surgery, after that it’s $45 for each one. They also teach you how to post their ears by yourself. Overall the crop came out really nice and service is pretty good, it’s only like a 1-2 hour wait to get attended by Butchko himself.

Been going here for over 20 years. Had Yorkers ears and tail cropped, had hip replacement for cat, leg removed for a cat, bladder stones removed for another Yorkie, anal gland expressions , vaccines and medicines… they are still the cheapest and the most knowledgeable… along as you’re okay with the wait… for us the price difference is always worth it.

Had my chiweeni break a dewclaw, fair price for the removal and meds I had to bring home. After dropping her off she was available for pickup after an hour and a half. She's healing well and doing great! (my male Shepsky has also been a patient here for an infected laceration between his paw pads back in April, also a great experience, full recovery, great treatment and meds given).

Friendly staff, competitively priced, and very compassionate to my pet. The vet gave me a list of recommendations, then prioritized them to fit my budget, instead of pressuring me to do everything at once, which I've encountered at other animal hospitals. The waiting room is spacious, with a lot of room to keep pets separated.

Great vet and staff. Been going here for close to 2 years and always Great service and care for my dog. Recently had a survey on my dog and they were great. Kind and considerate staff, explained everything, reasonable price, and love the new office.

I’ve taken my cats to the pets place over a spread of 10 years. I’ve NEVER had a bad experience with them. They clearly care about and know how to handle a variety of animals. My cats Lucy and Wednesday were very comfortable in their hands. They’re very open about costs and recommendations and have pretty fast but attentive service. If you need your pets checked, the Pet Place is the BEST place.

Honestly the staff can’t be beat! We had to put down our family dog due to him being very old and sick, it was a really hard moment for us, but the staff was extremely helpful, empathetic, and kind. They felt like family during that moment and sent a card afterwards! I wouldn’t trust any other vet with our fur babies! Thank you to all the amazing staff that helped my family and I through such a difficult time!!.

I brought our 4 month old kitten to get spayed. Friendly staff and best price in Riverside. Be here early, though!.
