When we got engaged, we knew we wanted to go with a documentary-style photographer and Gabriel's portfolio fit the bill. When we reached out to him, he swung by our place and gave us a sense of what to expect. He immediately put us at ease and gave us some helpful guidance in thinking about our wedding overall. He listened carefully to what we wanted from the experience-- mostly candids and immediately family portraits. The day of the event, he showed up promptly and found a great balance between creating a fun and calming environment and disappearing into the background. He stayed in the middle of the action throughout the night and was always available to come take any staged shots we needed. And, the work speaks for itself. Not only did he deliver more shots than expected, they arrived to us within a week of the wedding! We had so much fun reviewing the perfect candid moments that he captured-- deep connection between the people we love, authentic emotion during the ceremony and key moments of the evening, and bridal magazine-worthy portraits. We didn't hire a videographer and the movement and energy captured in his photos really make up for that absence. We can't wait to get some prints made and look back at these memories for years to come!
