THE GUENTHER HOUSE REVIEWS
The Guenther House restaurant is located On the grounds of the Pioneer Flour Mill established 1859. King William area. It was confusing finding the entrance & where to park. We finally checked out this historical restaurant. A country fried casual atmosphere. American & Tex-Mex cuisine. Lunch was fresh & tasty. Toured the museum & gift shop. Nice patio. Spot on service and friendly staff. We went during the week so there was not a wait, I've heard there can be an hour wait on weekends. I will come back and check out their brunch. Parking: Parking is across the street, near the entrance across the street from Blue Star.
First time here and I was not disappointed! Everything was amazing. Not only is this a historical and super cool location, the brunch menu was exceptional. It was the service that made this next level!! Do yourself a favor and check it out; I’ll take advantage of the outdoor sitting next time, because there will definitely be a next time!!
Such a neat place! Breakfast was great and the place was super cute. Their biscuits are incredible. We went at 0930 and there wasn’t a wait.

WHISKEY CAKE KITCHEN AND BAR REVIEWS
Had breakfast with a friend here on Sunday. They’re menu changes seasonally so you can always expect new exciting food and drinks on the menu. That morning we both had the market breakfast plate. It came with two eggs, jalapeño drop biscuits, hatch chili grits, millionaires bacon and spicy potatoes. It was a satisfying and delicious breakfast. We got greedy and ordered the cinnamon roll because the table next to us had one. It was HUGE and decadent… I highly recommend it. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Highly recommend that you reserve a table as it’s always busy.
This is a top notch restaurant. Everything we had was delicious. From our appetizer, entrees to dessert. Our waiter Kennedy was the absolute best providing stellar service. He's attentive, down to earth and keeps your drinks refilled. I highly recommend everyone try Whiskey Cake, I'm positive you won't be disappointed.
We have been wanting to try this place on our next visit and finally had a chance…it dod not disappoint! The ribs and Mac and cheese were the best I’ve ever had. The service was impeccable. Our server Iris was friendly, knowledgeable and fantastic! The manager Casey was super! We will be back as often as we can!!

CURED REVIEWS
Great restaurant! If you like meat and cheese, then Cured is the spot to check out! We started with the charcuterie board and loved everything on it. We even split everything in half to put in our fridge at the hotel to feast on later! The gin and tonics were the best ones we have ever had. The key is chareau, which is a plant based spirit made with California aloe. Delicious. Every time I took a sip, I commented on how amazing it smelled, as well as tasted. Our server, Britian, explained everything perfectly and was very attentive. We happened to arrive during happy hour, so we tried all of the 4 items. Our favorites were actually the boudin empanada and the kale salad. Cured rocks! We also got that black garlic cavatelli and loved it. However, I will say that it was a very small serving, so you might want to get 2 of them. We can't wait to come back!
I met a friend here for happy hour and it was amazing! We shared a charcuterie board, fried quail legs, the spinach salad, and each had a boudain empanada--all stellar. The menu is Texas-centric featuring seasonal and local ingredients and our server recommended a cocktail my friend loved as well as a zero-proof drink for me that we both thought tasted as great as any craft cocktail. Service is friendly and I would go with their recommendations.
Everything was amazing and our server, Britain, was wonderful. She told us the chef’s heartwarming story of beating cancer and opening the restaurant. She knew everything about the food and drinks. It was a perfect experience!
