3 Best Japanese Restaurants in San Antonio, TX

I absolutely love coming here! In the three weeks I’ve been in San Antonio, I think I’ve stopped by at least once a week — that’s how good it is. Every visit has been consistently great, from the food to the service. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Jocelyn, our server on several visits, is fantastic. She’s attentive, kind, and really pays attention to detail — you can tell she genuinely cares about providing great service. Rachel, the manager, is also wonderful and always checks in to make sure everything is perfect. Bryant has helped us too, and he’s just as friendly and professional. It’s clear that this team takes pride in what they do and truly creates a warm, enjoyable atmosphere. Now, the food — absolutely amazing! The JINYA Tonkotsu Black is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and the pork buns are so tender and delicious they practically melt in your mouth. They also offer mocktails, which is such a great touch for those who don’t drink alcohol. I highly recommend trying the J-Girl — it’s refreshing, beautifully balanced, and pairs perfectly with the ramen. If you’re in San Antonio and craving incredible ramen with outstanding service, JINYA is the place to go.

We tried the chef’s special hokuriku cabba chick chicken ramen, the creamy spicy ramen, Impossible bun, Jinya bun, and an iced matcha latte, everything was delicious and full of flavor. Angelica, our waiter, was courteous and welcoming. She did an amazing job making sure we were taken care of, frequently checking in to see if we were enjoying our food.

You gotta try the nonalcoholic drinks here they are amazing! The Matcha lychee fruit is unbelievable!! we saw their really good reviews online and we came to have some Ramen and it was exactly as promised as the Reviews said! Everything was absolutely amazing. The service was great and the atmosphere is super cute will be definitely visiting again.

The Chefs Dinner was recommended by Jay, our server for the night. It was enough for 3 of us and we still had enough to take home. The dinner comes with 2 sushi rolls of your choice as well as a ton of nigiri and sashimi. We added some beef wagyu rice to go with it. It was absolutely perfection! 10/10

I’ve been craving good sushi and this place delivered. The ingredients were so fresh. The rolls did not have too much rice. They had creative ingredients like the Nelson roll with some crispy garlic in it that took it to the next level. The rolls weren’t covered in mayo like other places either. I enjoyed that the pieces were bite size too. We will def come back.

One of my favorite Japanese restaurants in San Antonio. Customer service was top notch. Food was always delicious.
