We found Safe Haven quite by accident but are so glad we did. Mom was 94 and needed more help than the typical Assistant Living facility could offer. Even with the highest level of care! We were told that we needed to have private agencies come in at $15-17/hour, which our finances could not support. We had never heard of a Personal Care Home before. We used Brighton Gardens of Buckhead in the past, and they are pretty awesome. It's a beautiful facility, and while we were there, they were revamping it. They provide excellent care and excellent family involvement. They had an excellent memory care facility, on-site physical therapy, visitations by your doctors and nurse practitioners, and they have the optometrist come in. They take patients to doctors' appointments, to eat, and to shopping. They have a lot of things that are for seniors.

My experience at Summerset Assisted Living is very good. They have an exercise room, they do hair, they have a barber shop, and they have activities every day. The place is very clean, and residents looked like they had a little bit more freedom, which I like.
