3 Best Assisted Living Facilities in Carlsbad, CA

Sunrise more than "passes the sniff test" as my critical care nurse and cousin pointed out to me on tour and every visit since Mom moved into assisted living. Never have I (or Mom) been surrounded by such empathetic staff and guests in such a lovely community. They go a long way to preserving the dignity of residents and family. They understand how hard this decision, this transition and this stage is. I am extremely grateful to The team at Sunrise and all the residents that have welcomed Mom and help care for her and offer her what I could no longer sustain without the community at Sunrise. No regrets. Thankful. Great on every visit. Solid communication. Especially appreciate the reception team on every occasion and all the folks that keep it running so well for residents and family.

My Mom had a fall and was diagnosed with cancer so we started looking at assisted living facilities in North County and she choose Sunrise. The facility is beautiful but the staff make this a great place. Jennifer the ED was very responsive and took care of any question or quickly. Jennifer helped us with whatever we needed, even arranged transportation to a doctor appointment for my Mom. She also checked in frequently when my Mom was in the hospital. Most importantly, they have some wonderful caregivers. Many of them have been there for 10+ years and make a difficult job seem easy. The majority of them are positive, compassionate, and always ready to help. The business office was easy to deal with and handled some tricky billing situations quickly. Overall, I would highly recommend Sunrise to anyone looking for Assisted Living.

My relative has been at Sunrise at La Costa for a month now and we are so pleased with the facility and all the caring and competent staff, including the front desk concierges. He is younger than the other residents and feels comfortable there because of the nice caregivers, the lively atmosphere, and his pleasant and functional accommodations.

My husband, Philip is currently in your skilled nursing. There are no words to describe how wonderful the care is that he is receiving. The staff is so competent and knowledgeable. They all are “truly skilled”.The food is also first class! Glen Brook deserves its wonderful reputation. The administration and nursing staff have created an exceptional environment for healing which includes family members. A special thanks to Dr. Rubino, Grace, Nancy and all the crew that is taking such good of Philip.

My Mom was in a Skilled Nursing Facility before and had a terrible experience in Carmel Mountain. We were very nervous going to another SNF. Once entering Glenbrook we knew we were in the right place! The Physical/Occupational Therapists, RNs, MDs, Administrators, Admission Staff, Cooks, Rooms, and Hair Stylists are AMAZING!!!! I wish I had the words to, truly, express my gratitude for everyone that is caring for my Mom during this difficult time. I would NEVER consider another facility, EVER!!!!! I live in Los Angeles, and had the opportunity to transfer my Mom to a 5 Star Facility near my home. But, after one day at Glenbrook my Mom refused to be transferred! My Sincerest Gratitude and THANK YOU!!!

Absolute AMAZING! Best individualized care my husband could have had. Constant professional supervision by Physicians, Registered Nurses, physical therapists of all kinds, onsite Xrays plus much more! Spotless facilities, cheerful and caring staff, activities beyond fun with professional musicians, incredible meals prepared by Chef Tovar (studied at Cordon Blue!), and beautiful landscaped areas. Highly recommend it to make your recovery more expedient and happy.
