I felt compelled to take a moment to share my experience with Aviva West Hartford. Both of my parents have been residents and in the care of the Aviva team. William Whaley and staff take the utmost care in every detail-from the initial tour to assisting with a smooth transition and of course regular updates on care and well being. Our family takes comfort in knowing that Aviva can provide a safe, comfortable, beautiful environment (it’s a gorgeous colonial revival former school listed on the national register of historic places) with a caring team that can provide virtually every level of care for seniors. I would enthusiastically encourage any family requiring help in caring for loved ones to contact Aviva and schedule a visit.

I can not say enough positive things about Aviva! William, the Marketing Director, was extremely responsive and found the perfect apartment for my Dad. He responded to all my messages right away, took me to see almost all the open units and was so patient and nice through the whole process. I am so thankful for him and his team. Very blessed to know my dad has such a great place to live!

As we searched to find a place for our dad, Aviva really stood out from the rest. The physical location is exceptionally beautiful, but that’s not all! The staff is welcoming and kind. The activities planned go above and beyond what’s typical. And, while we ultimately were unable to choose Aviva, for reasons unrelated to the care available there, it remains on my short list to recommend to friends and family who are looking for a uniquely wonderful home for their loved one. I’m especially grateful to have met and worked with William, whose infinite patience and generous hospitality shone through in every communication. His attention to detail in considering the needs and interests of residents is evidence of the importance he places on making Aviva a great place to live.

The team is not only professional but warm, patient, and compassionate. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels at home, with personalized attention that really makes a difference in daily life. The caregivers are attentive, gentle, and always ready to provide any help needed, no matter how big or small. What's really impressive is how the staff takes the time to get to know each resident individually, building strong relationships that make the environment feel like family. Whether it's assisting with daily tasks, providing emotional support, or simply sharing a smile, you can tell the team genuinely loves what they do. The facility itself is always clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, creating a peaceful atmosphere that promotes both physical and emotional well-being. Both of my parents were in Brookdale Chatfield in independent living before my mom passed. After that my dad moved to assisted living and then to memory care. I can't say enough nice things about the staff at Brookdale. They were kind and respectful to my dad and always there to support me even as my dad entered hospice. They loved my dad and his sense of humor and were very supportive to me through the entire process. My dad passed in May of 2024 but I am so lucky he was able to spend his last few years in a place as nice as this. Thank you for everything.

My mom has lived at the Brookdale Chatfield community for over 3 years & it has been the best thing for her! She is part of such a wonderful community & is thriving with her independence! I am so happy with the associates at Chatfield & how caring they are, of the residents in their community!
