As a private contractor offering specialized painting therapy, Bickford welcomed me with open arms! The residents always a delight to work with whether in memory care or assisted living. Even though the two areas require a different type of care, one thing that is consistent is caring staff who are attentive to their needs. Often times assisted living residents voiced to me how much they enjoy their lives there with a variety of activities and how the director always made them feel welcome and kept things running smoothly. Lastly I think the location of the facility makes it easy for family to find it to be accessible in their busy schedules.

Shana Nelson is the new Executive Director at Bickford. Under her guidance your loved one will be well taken care of. No doubt in my mind she is my daughter. I can personally tell you she is dedicated to helping others. Her work ethic speaks for itself. She has 20 years plus working with the aging. She is a wonderful mother, daughter and friend. Beautiful clean facility.

Walking in to the facility I got a warm welcome by a staff member. I see that employees engaging with residents, laughing, some spending time with them after breakfast. I really got a good vibe here. The building looked attractive, clean, up to date and maintained well. Staff was courteous and kind.

A peaceful and beautiful campus with lots of social activities to choose from if desired! All staff is caring and very helpful. The dining experience is delightful with variable menus and delicious meals. Many types of services are offered from dementia care, rehab, assisted & skilled nursing plus independent living. Classes of all kinds such as physical exercise in gym or swimming in a beautiful pool. Maintenance staff is wonderful to assist in any way needed. Bible studies, movies in theater & in-house, & visits from grandchildren & families keep a constant flow of activities! So grateful & a big Thank You to the various Lutheran Churches who help support the needs of residents, and exemplify real Christian love! A real Blessing & definitely a place where Seniors can Live Life to the Fullest.

I knew the moment I arrived this was the right place for my parents. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and the entry was fresh and inviting. When I went through the door of their apartment, it felt like home. It was cheerful and bright. Everyone was helpful and sensitive to all our concerns. Mom tells everyone she feels like she is living at a 5 star hotel. Thank you LHV for creating a wonderful place for my parents to call home.

I am so happy to have my mother at Lutheran Hillside Village. This care community is managed well, church affiliated and a nonprofit. I am able to rest assured knowing that she is being provided the best of care, meals that she enjoys and activities to keep her happy.
