Absolutely out of this world delicious. Don’t walk, run and get a local taste of barbecue. Yes the parking is tight. Yes there’s a bit of a line. Yes prices are high. Who cares - all worth it. Best ribs, moist brisket, and sausage I’ve ever had. Hands down. Delicious. Sides were good - but sides, not the main attraction. Line goes quick. Good amount of seating indoors with AC and huge seating area outside, most of it in shade. Careful with the Birds trying to steal your food outside! Great bbq smell throughout and very friendly staff. Highly recommend. Amazing food and can’t wait to go back.

The best way to describe this place is a barbecue assembly line that feels extremely culturally capital T Texas. you are rushed into a mob with a plate where you pick up sides (i got cole slaw and potato salad, so so good and fresh and delciisous). brisket was juicy and smokey and fatty and delicious. pork ribs were sweet and tangy. sauce was abundant and delicious. i loved the efficiency of getting the food, the upbeat back of the grill kind of cabin ambience of the place, and the porch packed with families and people enjoying their BBQ. must must come!

The hype for this place was spot on. The food was amazing! We got there at the perfect time because as soon as we sat down with our food the line was around the corner. We had a little bit of everything. The flavor was amazing. Loved the brisket and pork ribs. The jalapeño cheese sausage was soooo goooood. Mac and cheese was exactly what I imagined. Potato salad was flavorful. I will definitely come back and have this place again… and I’m from California… oh and don’t skip on the peach cobbler!!! Amazing!!!!

Great place for BBQ. I purchased the family all you can eat for myself. There was so much food. The turkey was delicious and moist. The pulled pork was tender and amazing. The brisket was super fatty and the ribs were not the best. I had extra pulled pork and turkey. The sweet potatoe fries were perfect and the Mac n cheese added to the BBQ experience. Definitely get the pulled pork and turkey. I tried the corn bread and they also provide bread that I did not try. Waiter was exceptional Great price for what I ate. Also they give you a take home container for anything you do not eat.

Loved my food, my server was fast and helpful. If you go GET THE MACARONI AND CHEESE!!! It was rich and creamy, one of the best I have ever had. My only regret was I did not take more pictures of this place. I have never been to Austin before and I was there for work and I was hungry and found this place. Im glad I did, I will need to go back on a weekend and check out one of there 2 stages they do for bands.

Awesome venue, had a large area and plenty of spots to view the band from. Tons of different bars to order from made lines very short. The bathrooms were all clean and was great to have running water at an outdoor venue. Will definitely be trying to go back and see more bands.

Franklin is a legend in the BBQ world, and yes—the hype is real. Expect to wait in line, sometimes for hours, but the brisket is tender, smoky perfection. The ribs, pulled pork, and sides all shine, too. It’s more than a meal—it’s a Texas rite of passage. Bring sunscreen, good company, and a big appetite.

It is THAT good. Waiting in line was a lot of fun and the staff were amazing. Food was incredible. I will absolutely be back the next time I'm in Austin.

Eating brisket at Franklin was a bucket list item. It did not disappoint! Get there early... it's worth the wait!
